i disagree - if you actually pay attention around town, truck drivers seem to lose some of their skill in and around the San Antonio area, and no matter how much it may pain to admit it - trucks in this area DO need to slow down, and furthermore, they should be required to stick to one lane unless exiting or entering the highway, and to keep one truck length between them at any and all times - I for one, am extremely tired of having to ride the shoulder because of them refusing to budge when I try to enter the highway, and on more than one occasion it was because they moved into the far right lane right before the entrance ramp, then moved back to center afterward.

Yeah, it seems like trucks should keep to the far left lane unless directly entering or exiting the highway, keep a truck's length (that's 52' truck AND trailer) between them, and drive no faster than 55mph.

The reason why some truck drivers no longer get over (which they don't have to..right away)...

But the reason why some don't get over anymore to courtiesly allow ramp traffic to merge...is cause when they do..the traffic they allowed to merge will then speed up and pass them on the right...and now trucker is stuck in middle lane or left lane, while motorist pass on the right, instead of having the decency and common sense to let the truck get back into right lane..

Truck drivers are useually a lot more safe, and aware drivers...and less distracted...than those in cars or small trucks...

And truckers have much better visibility, and pay attention to construction signs, way more than those in cars...who seem to drive blind, and never read the signs...
