Says yet another racist: "In 1968 the most beautiful blond in our school liked me but would not date me because of my Mexican background. I had to settle for another girl who was a redhead. So don't talk to me about racism. I experienced it!" I'm anglo and I couldn't get the blondes nor redheads---and most especially beautiful latino gals, so according to you I also was that makes them racist. Wait...that don't sound right...all I know is ALL people hate ugly people like me. LIGHTEN UP.

Matter of Taste and Feel wrote: <quoted text> I challenge you to show any proof that there ever was a literacy test for voters in Texas. The minimal charge of $1.75 (poll tax) you mention was not enough to be a deterrent to any serious voter. It paid the cost of the elections, which were enormous before computers. Minorities have always had money for their alcohol, drugs and strumpets, but didn't want to spend money on anything that didn't taste good or feel good. Seems that you are more offended by the $1.75 poll tax than for all the other racist things that white people like you used to do and still do. You are a living proof of bigotry and white supremacy.

This is doing absolutely zero good. Racism, bias, and prejudice will always live in the hearts of you evil humanoids. That's why you all are doomed to failure.

Ramon Renteria tries to compensate for his illiteracy in English by throwing in "cholismos," thinking that he is being original. That habit betrays his own prejudice. Obviously, he is addressing the cholos he hangs out with. He has no grip on reality and cannot discern between Hollywood actors, fictional screenplays, real people and real situations. The El Paso Times is a refuge for fired, wannabe reporters and columnists who work for Mexican editors who cannot recognize the difference between talent and charades. The job security they find at the Times is just another example of media stagnation.

Ramona wrote: <quoted text> And where does your talent lie? Perhaps you could take up criticizing, it seems to be your fort, vato. Ramon Renteria must be related to Petro. By "feminizing" his name to "Ramona," he not only shows his split personality, but also shows his sexual orientation. That would be akin to Petro, being a little honest, for a change, and posting here as "Petra." Speak the truth and you fluster them into Freudian slips; the only time the pseudo journalists are remotely honest. The most deadly giveaway for Ramon, or Ramona, is his inability to even spell "forte" correctly. True to his natural languor, he is a day late and a dollar short: his critics are already abundant and "took up" that practice long ago. He seems blind to the fact that everyone on this forum has "taken up" criticism. That is the primary raison d'etre for Topix forums. However, most here are simply trolls, while some of us do it professionally at other venues (i.e., literature and films). We come here solely for the "sadistic" entertainment of slam-dunking the less astute.(Aren't we mischievous? It is akin to journalistic slumming. After all, we can learn from negative examples, and we gain amusement from them at the same time.) Does that answer your question, "vato?" Suo sibi gladio hunc jugulo.
