REALLY. Tell THAT lie to the women living in states where most if not all of the women's clinics who provided abortion, as well as contraception and other services, have been closed due to the TRAP laws in those states. "Easy access?" I think NOT.
There is no "easy access" for women who have no way to get to a women's clinic and who have no health insurance that would allow them to see a doctor for a birth control prescription.
Who has "no way" to get to a womens's clinic?

Many people don't have health insurance. They still have "access" to it.

"Access" isn't defined as "someone else's money".

And your morality isn't defined by "someone else's abortion," either.

It's one thing not to pay anyone's abortion costs. It's quite another to deliberately make it more difficult for women to get one, by closing clinics with draconian legislation against this specific outpatient procedure, or mandating she undergo instrumental rape before receiving a medical treatment, of which YOU disapprove.

Exactly. Repukelian politicians in red states have been doing their very best to REMOVE easy access to both contraception and abortion.
My favorite magazine said it best: "Without access, there is no choice." Religious conservative politicians who make these draconian laws don't want women having access OR choice.
Well based upon your posts maybe you reproducing would not be the best thing

Exactly. Dan just likes to pretend that these efforts by Repukelian politicians to BLOCK access to both contraception and abortion by forcing women's health clinics to close aren't really happening.

PP is closing the clinics, no one else.

Again, PP is closing the clinics.

They won't spend the money to keep them open.

We've been through this: Women's health clinics are the only ones being affected, by the legislation aimed at closing clinics. The clinics are closing because they cannot any longer be operated under current law.

These laws were not aimed at closing urgent care centers, or prosthetic clinics, or dialysis clinics, or diabetic clinics, or any other type of clinic than an abortion clinic, and as such the laws are perfectly fine with you. But I'd love to see your defense of them, should they be aimed at shutting down geriatric clinics, or nursing homes, or 'crisis pregnancy centers'.

You know....clinics which provide services you approve of.

Hypocritical asshole.

They just don't want to spend the money to get the places up to new specifications.

You act like other businesses never have to abide with new regulations. Grow up and look around.

Please cite any business, other than abortion, pornography,'gay repair' therapy, and prostitution,(ahem) which falls under such public opprobrium it faces extinction because of regulations???
In-vitro clinics?
Oil companies???
Pharmaceutical concerns?
Privately held prisons?
Genetic engineering?

Try again?

Er...no...Dan is GLAD it's happening.

He just wants us to prove that it shouldn't be, to his satisfaction.

Dan doesn't get that his opinion, while expression of same is a right, IS IMMATERIAL TO THE CENTRAL QUESTION: Does a woman lose the right to bodily autonomy, by virtue of the fact that she may become pregnant?

Exactly. Dan would prefer us all to believe the LIE that women aren't directly affected by the closing of so many of women's clincs that DID give women access to both contraception and abortion when they were running.

He's just pissed that we aren't buying his phony claims. Do I CARE that he's pissed? Nope.

I don't care what any piece of paper says, what is growing inside a human being is another human being. Or do you think it's a goat, dog, cow...?
