State lawmakers, hospital system administrators and dozens of women urged Texas officials Tuesday not to sever funding to Planned Parenthood under a law barring state support for clinics affiliated with abortion providers.

Women should have control over what they do with their bodies, but they do not have the right to expect that others pay for their choices, which is what funding to organizations who provide abortions do. Open an abortion clinic on every street corner, but donít ask total strangers (tax payers) to fund your choices or mistakes.

IMO: An unwanted child will cost in welfare, disability or being a criminal at government cost and it certainly would be less expensive considering the option of abortion .

Read the article, where it says: Planned Parenthood provides cancer screenings and other services ó but not abortions ó to about half of the around 130,000 low-income Texas women enrolled in the program ....It's about health care!
