hell, Congress is the key to making problems, Republican or Democrat. And there is no problem Congress can't make worse. (note: the 'Texas Miracle' is Oil and Gas with no real restriction on getting, moving and selling it) Take a look at the Texas Legislature ...

Was Elian Gonzales an illegal illegal alien or not?
Didn't the Republican party demonize Attorney-General Janet Reno for ENFORCING our immigration laws?
When Mexican bandit, Pancho Villa, murdered Americans in Texas; didn't Democrat President Woodrow Wilson order pursuit?
When we learned, via the Zimmerman note, that Germany was trying to goad Mexico into attacking us; didn't we go to war with Germany?
Didn't Congress report out a BONUS BILL to reward our vets?
Didn't Republican Herbert Hoover veto it?
Perfectly clear?

At first glance; yes.
However, many great Americans were born in Texas.
Dwight David Eisenhower was one of them!

If the goal is to have a government dominated by one religious viewpoint and a continued pandering to big business, then yes, GOP will create that kind of government.

So problems are solved for the wealthy and charismatic christians, maybe.

Until the charismatics and the wealthy start to divide and conquer among themselves.

Should make for an interesting show.
