Cameron is a no-talent who got jealous of Michael J. Fox's movie success after leaving "Family Ties".

Fox went on to massive box office success and became a heroic spokesperson for a disease. Cameron went on to the "direct to video" bin and became an idiot spokesperson for a religious cult.

Gay people also believe that marriage is worth fighting for - that's why we fight to be able to marry and fight for our families.

Cameron and his ilk are fighting to prevent marriages and harm other families.

Which side is fighting the correct battle?

We aren't fighting to prevent marriages, we are fighting to prevent the perversion and mockery of marriage ("gay marriage").

More evidence of how far America has fallen. Our brainless fascination with "celebrities" has rotted away our capacity to think. The fact that someone was an actor on a tv show, or in a movie, or sung a popular song does *not* endow them with any special knowledge or wisdom that makes their opinion on any subject outside acting or singing.

We spend far too much time and effort following the activities of these "celebrities" and far too little following the activities of the latter-day robber barons of Wall Street and our now dangerously power hungry politicians. "Celebrity news" takes up far too big a portion of what passes for news coverage, and provides the 'circus' for the modern "bread and circuses" by which our leaders distract us while they pick our pockets and intrude into our privacy as they prosecute their endless wars against Oceana and East Asia.

Kirk Cameron is a 'has-been' who barely qualifies for that promotion from 'never-was'. His opinions on virtually any subject are irrelevant.

I'd like to ask him how he would feel if HE and HIS family were denied equal rights based on someone else's religion.

Why does no one ever ask the religitards simple questions like that?

Because Brittany Spears drunken 24 hour marriage is so likely to be devalued by allowing committed same sex couples the same right.

Theists always come back to this as their trump card. The fact that you have nothing more convincing than a threat to persuade non-believers demonstrates how bereft of credible affirmative evidence for your fairy story you are. Non-believers don't fear your imaginary god's imaginary retribution any more than you fear the koran's warning that all non-muslims are damned. Seriously, if the threat of hell is all you have to compel belief, you've got nothing.

Well, I'm a church-going Christian, and it's certainly good enough for me ! But I don't think being gay as a part of that, anymore than being left-handed is a part of that. Yet, even in 20th century America there were some Christians who preached that being left-handed was sinful.
