He should resign as governor, just like Spitzer and McGreevy did. He abandons his state. lies about where he was going so he could get his jollies. What kind of leadership is this.

What kind of a corpse does your wife have to be in bed for you to fly thousands of miles away for a fling? I almost feel sorry for the guy. Not really though.......... typical scum running on values and then proving he has none.

Why are we so crazy about these kinds of things? I wouldn't vote for him for anything, but because of his political, fiscal and social views, not because of an affair. Dammit, it happens and people ought not have to crucify themselves. On the other hand, of course, Republicans will be Republicans.

Just another case of South Carolina seceding from a union!

Now we really know why Governor Sanford was afraid of the federal government interfering in state affairs!

What a hoot.

Something is fishy! Couldn't he just have a girlfriend a lil closer than Argentina? Why run? why not just take a vacation? Hummm something is definitely amiss.

And Fox News tries to label him as a Democrat. Again conservatives like to dodge responsibility for their actions and accuse the other side of immorality.

His office says he is hiking in the mountains to clear his mind and upon his return he says he was in Argentina with a woman that isn't his wife.

Sounds like he has a multitude of problems and needs to take some time to sort them out.

This level of dishonesty is not what voters want.

Crash, gurgle, hiss, boom. Unless he is as smooth as slick Willie or converts to a Democrat, his career is over.

#1 this shouldn't be news - who give a crap about this?

#2 The women of Argentina are awesome. It's easy to fall for someone down there and they are much better than bitchy/greedy American women in every respect.

#3 He's right, Buenos Aires is a wonderful place!

The repubs do need to just stop talking about all their morality and family values crap. People cheat, they do drugs, they have sex before getting married. It's life. Next they'll be quoting that Iranian dude and saying there are no gay people here. Nobody cares what the republicans do, if they are gay, cheat, hit the bottle or whatever, just stop chastizing anyone who does if you can't stick to the ethics you crow about all the time.
