The unintended consequences of arresting people from Germany and Asia for driving w/o a license is exactly what should have happened. It proves there is no racial profiling. If these 2 were dumb enough to drive w/o a license, they should be fired from their jobs for lack of competency and not allowed to travel here. What sane American citizen would go to another country and drive w/o a license?

Never forget, illegals are breaking our laws daily by being here, ripping off social services and demanding rights that law breakers should not have any right to. Enabling only encourages it. We need to take care of American citizens first before we worry about anyone else.

Sounds good to me! Once you provide proof of citizenship or legal residency to get a driver's license, you're good. Anyone who can't, won't get one and won't get a lot of other things.

In addition to this observation, if the US just stop intervening and overthrowing other governments or punishing other governments for not doing it's dirty wishes, then perhaps foreigners will be happier and there would be no need to emigrate!
But instead, the US destroy it's neighbors means of productions with the stupid idea of free market so that US products can invade and saturate the markets of others and displaced the offering of the local. In turn, the displaced locals have no choice but to emigrate due to the lack of opportunity in their homeland.
The US helps in causing the problem through its stupid democracy and capitalism, and then the US DOES NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCE OF IT'S 181 YEARS OLD FOREIGN POLICY OF IMPERIALISM THROUGH MILITARY, ECONOMIC, AND CULTURAL MEANS!

Damn right! Take care of Americans first and foremost!
Let other countries deal with their own problems!

If the Mexican government had any balls they would help their people and make Mexico a proud place to live instead of the hellhole it is!

"They've been applied to a striking range of activities, from getting tags on your cars to getting public utilities to changing title on your cars."

I was excited to hear about Alabama's laws preventing illegals from accessing public utilities such as gas and electricity. This is a common sense approach to enforcement that can withstand any "racial profiling" litmus test. It's as simple as requiring that all applicants for utility services furnish proof of legal residency. This should be the policy in every state in the US along with a requirment that proof of legal status be provided to rent an apartment or apply for a mortgage.

Agreed. These should all be relatively simple measures to implement. Our next big endeavor should be to overturn Plyler vs Doe which mandates that taxpayers fund K-12 education for illegals. This is just as critical as ending birthright citizenship. Without a doubt, access to "free" public education is a significant magnet for those illegals who choose to enter this country with their kids in tow.

I didn't have any problems getting my tag renewed last week. I had all the papers I needed with me. Drivers license, proof of insurance, and registration. They are always in the car with me. Isn't that a novel idea?
