SC unemployment would be far less if the enviormentalists wachos would mind their own business.trying to stop projects at every a 150 millon dollar bridge project they said that car noise was no good for a swamp.look at all the jobs lost because of these fools and the list goes on and on throw the wachos out of SC

I think one can see that unemployment is a direct reflection of education. Along those lines - look at the states that have a high rate of people on government subsidies and you will see a state that votes a good portion democrats. Dems know that creating a welfare state (country) will get them reelected. Sheeple unite to protect their free monies and benefits. Go figure!

If we as a people valued being good stewards of the environment (as God calls us to be), there would be more jobs in healthy, sustainable industry. Rather than blame others and stoop to childish name calling, perhaps you should try to become educated about what big industry has done to prevent new development which would mean new jobs. When you and others like you sit around complaining, name-calling and bashing others that you have no understanding of, then YOU are part of the problem. Choosing to remain ignorant of the facts is not a good excuse.

here are some facts about the enviormentalists wachos, they are trying to stop growth and jobs in the USA by useing stuff like no logging old growth forests because owls can only live in old growth forests.they found the same owls making nests in the kmart sign.the same wachos tryed to stop a 150 millon dollar bridge from being build because of car noise might upset the swamp animals, all of this means lose of good paying jobs and for what?? so swamp animals wont here cars going by?? people live next to roads and we do very well .these wachos and their so called experts dont know shit.they are just want power to tell people want color they can paint there house and be total jackasses

The basic problem with South Carolina Unemployment is that we are 1)An agricultural state where no one farms anymore and 2)We're a textile state where the mills have all gone to 3rd world countries in favor of slave labor. Our politicians spend millions smoke-and-mirrors educational reform, knowing full well that an ill-informed populace are an easily "controlled populace". As far as environmentalism, once everyone finds out the Savannah River Plant has radiated us all, it'll be too late.(Blame the Democrats who ran it both locally and nationally for that). There has to BE a South Carolina so people can dump their waste because basically we are all viewed as "brain dead" docile inbreds anyway by the rest of elite America. Instead of seeking good jobs, we've been sold for a quarter as the last stop off in America before they get their Mexican factory built.

BUT, thanks to our politicians, we're given ENTERTAINMENT to quell the masses. So-called college athletics keep us occupied from September to November as long as the Chikens and Tiggerz when a few, the salons jobs are safe. As long as you're a complete screwup as an individual, we'll take care of you and your offspring via medicaid and food stamps/EBT. SO, we, like the ancient Romans, are given "Bread and Circuses".

The few of us who actually give a damn face the ire for being the messenger. We who do NOT wait in anticipation of next week's reality show but actually follow the news and read between the lines of politikal bulltripe, are sat upon by both the elite and the masses alike for being "soooo negative"..

It all boils down to this. South Carolina is last because we as individuals are lazy. We love comparing ourselves to ourselves because it HURTS to even look 100 miles to the West or North to see how not that great but better than US NC and Jawja are doing.

You can judge our economy by how many check cashing and title loan joints flock and prosper here. Even the high rate loan sharks of the world like Citi and Beneficial don't even do business here much anymore.

Progess comes slow if it ever comes at all in this Pussilanimous Plutonium State!. But heh, the Tigerz won yeserday and "Wait until Next Year" Gamecocks. Let's party!!!
