Another black eye for Rhode Island

As if it weren't bad enough that Rhode Island is the only state that allows prostitution as long as it happens indoors, there comes another revelation: The state also allows teenagers younger than 18 to dance at strip clubs.

They also allow prostitution with a girl younger than 18 if it is indoors. There is a woman trying to get a bill passed to stop this...

They haven't even decrimminalized marijuana, and they haven't crimminalized prostitution with a minor, or a minor dancing in a strip club..talk about bent...

I think the author is merely trying to punish Rhode Island for having a backbone in standing up for the truth that genuine marriage is only between a man and a woman.

Sorry, that's just wrong. What's happening is that the people who are against the legal indoor prostitution are -saying- that there are legal underage prostitutes, which is flat-out false. See Section C of this law:

As for under-18 strippers, virtually everyone agrees that it's a missing law, but the police also checked -every- club and found that the only under-18 stripper was using a false ID that showed her to be over 18. All the club owners said that they had no interest in hiring dancers who were that young.

Also... Think about this: The age of consent is 16 in RI, that's the age you can drop out of school, hook up with anyone (of any age) that you want to, and have a baby.

In short, we -should- have a law that says you have to be 18 to strip, but we do not have an underage stripping phenomenon here.
