Franklin Township, Adams County ANIMAL CRUELTY: Pennsylvania State Police, Gettysburg, are investigating an animal cruelty case in which a beagle was shot Monday night on Chambersburg Road in Franklin Township.

Police said the owner of the backpack, who was not identified in the police report, left the backpack sitting on a chair, left the business and then returned to look for it when she realized it was missing about 10 minutes later.

By the time she got back, the backpack was gone, police said, but had not been turned in to the store's management.

The woman told police the backpack contained her wallet, which contained her credit cards, Social Security card,$60, her driver's license and ATM cards.

why would you leave all that stuff in a back pack
she didn't own a purse?..and the dirt bag who stole it should have just droped it in the parking lot after taking the cash.Nothing worse then getting new CC and Drivers-Lic/ATM

The story of the beagle being shot makes me sick. I hoe whoever did this gets one between the eye.

Up until recently I was able to check the news in my home town until they decided to make everyone pay for a subscription. I am on Disability & live south of Pittsburgh, & seeing the news from home makes my day. Please help me if you can. I tried the Oil City Radio station page, but the news from there is 2 yrs old. I like to check the Obit's, anniversaries, babies of the day, police logs. Deb
