Well, I am not sure if he really did it. But if he did, he just bought and enjoy the sex. He didn't rape anybody. But now ones or his family has to protect him, he may got killed in jail like the other guy last two weeks.

Presently the police in Cambodia is receiving money from American NGO groups for every foreigner arrested. It happened that they beat a 14year old girl, until she said she was force to do sex with a French guy, who is presently in jail. This French guy is definitely not on young girls, he is married to an older women, and more interested in smart and interesting girls rather than young ones.
The bad situation that a lot of women in this area are raped (young and older) and most of them are raped by locals, and that there are brothels especially for police men... with very
young girls is irrelevant to those NGO groups. Fighting this would mean being in danger and a hard and difficult job. And it cannot be sold to foreigners, but the arrest of an American ...
Can you shoot yourself twice in the mouth?
A lot of things went wrong in Cambodia, since foreigners tried to influence the country. Remember Khmer Rouge was also supported by foreigners.

Receiving money from international donors are causing the corruptions and polices receiving money from the NGO is another corruption. KR got support from the Foreign to kill innocent people. Hun Sen govt has no obligation for its people, and Hun Sen and his cronies are packing hundred of millions dollars in the Foreign banks. Cambodians are the victims of the ignorant act of foreigners. Now, Cambodia scares tourists to come.

Police corruption is the driving force behind this arrest. There are no charges being brought against this man and he is being released pending the transfer of money from the US. He was watched and tailed because he was a white American and arrested for "debauchery". I can find no reference to "debauchery" in Cambodian law unless it refers to sex with children or child pornography. This woman, at 22, was obviously not a child. This is a blatant case of extortion involving the local government and law enforcement.

If the man was a celeb, or pro sports star our govt would have demanded his release & made him a hero.Sad but true.I also feel your on your own when visiting these hostile nations.

How would anyone know what this man is or isn't into? He likes smart or interesting girls? What does he do, give them an IQ test beforehand? Ask them their hobbies? Do you know how easy it is to have uncomplicated sex with women in this country? If you get pulled up for something you must have made some special effort. As for allegations about the police and under-age brothels, where's the evidence for that? You are on your own when visiting another country when you break the laws of that country.

It's about time the government of Cambodia started to lock these paedophiles up. Most of these tourists don't go to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat. They go to Cambodia to have sex with young kids. The worst tourists are the Taiwanese and the Hong Kong Chinese.

Visitors from other countries have no business to be in a hotel room with two local pre-teenage girls. That's the bottom line! HANG HIM!

BLAH... BLAH... BLAH... Imagine if you will: A Japanese Man, A Korean Man, or any other foreigners visiting the United States is caught with 2 pre-teenage girls in a hotel room! What then? What would the general public think? Can't you think?. In my opinion, the same would happen. He is entitled to his defense... and most likely, he would be turned over to the U.S. authority anyway, although I do wish they will keep him there to beat the mosquitos and roaches for a while!!!

It's hard for me to pick a side in this matter. I understand full well the corruption in Cambodia, but at the same time, I know their are a lot of foreign pedophiles and child prostitution in the country. Some of these pedophiles even pose as humanitarians. I'm not saying this man is guilty, but whatever the truth is in this case, I hope God brings justice to all the people involved. Only God knows what really happened. We do not know for sure who is guilty and who is not. I just hope these type of problems will soon cease to exist in my beloved country.

True, plus they are cheap, corruptive, abusive and bad. Chineses have been bad influent to Cambodia and they were the factor of communism in Cambodia.

Robert is not guilty until he is found guilty based on evidents. We are living in a free country. Be fair.

I do agree with you, however to me, a PAEDOPHILE is a PAEDOPHILE, nothing more and nothing less! Regardless of their nationalities or the countries they come from, they do violator of the law, and more importantly, the children's value and dignity. I have no sympathy for them whatsoever! Thank You!

Nowaday, sex is a crime in Cambodia, like sexual harassment is a crime in US workplaces or in public places. Some people take that so seriously, till some women never got flirted at all or haven’t had men in their lives. Flirtation is healthy for men and benefit women. Law is destroying the nature of love. Never heard of people got killed from the sexual harassment, but people got killed from its revenge. Roger should be sent to where he come from, don’t let the out-law country decides it.

I am also tired of talking about this incident! These people have no clue as to how serious this case is. They often bring-in their personal feelings and religious aspects into the case that would impair their visions and in selecting the proper course of action to assist MR ROGER. He is currently in a deep world of hurt and he needs professional helps and not these off-the-wall ideas. You just can't mix religion with Child-Sex-Crime... It won't fly!!! I believe in the International Agencies who over-see and handle this case. They are the most caring and professional people from here and many other countries around the world... THEY WILL DO THE RIGHT THING I'M SURE! As for MR. ROGER and his group, I am wishing you well BUT THIS CASE DOES NOT LOOK GOOD! I have better things to do with my life than talking to people who do not understand the severity of this case! The bottom line is this: MR ROGER WILL HAVE TO FACE ALL THE CONSEQUENCES AS A RESULT OF HIS ACTION(S) AND NOT I OR ANY OTHER FOLKS WHO LOVE AND HAVE COMPLETE TRUST IN HIM!!!

TO: beskeetanita123 & dority18

I am so sorry that there is nothing that I could do for all of you from this day forward. My utmost concern was to give you some knowledge about the country so that you could take appropriate action(s) to protect your families and friends from the scam artists or bad people in general.

Again, I am so sorry that I am able to do so little to comfort you during this difficult time.

May God bless all of you!
