Richard D. Pendarvis was my a distant cousin of mine. Its a shame his mother lost two children in a matter of almost six months.

It's hard to believe my baby brother is gone. Like a bad dream from which I'll awake omeday but I know that's not the case. All the talks, walks, songs, sermons, laughs-gone because a man used poor judgment and didn't stop his truck. Larry married my husband and me over a chicken dinner at my parents amid laughter and seriousness and lots of love... Dear brother, dear friend, you are so missed, so loved, sometimes I don't know how I can bear this loss. Yes, I know God is here and has kept me all these long months. Were it not for His strength and presence I wouldn't have made it this far-none of us would have. But still Larry is gone... Little Brother, I know you're having a ball, especially now that Daddy is in heaven with you. And I'm sure that Ken welcomed you at heaven's gate. Mostly though, you are finally home in heaven with our Heavenly Father, worshiping and receiving your crown! Keep and eye on Mother for us-we'll all see you after while- Love, Vern

It's been 2 yrs but it only seems like mere seconds ago. Eveyone over Aunt Von's for a fish fry. Just enjoying each others company. I miss you Uncle Larry but I know I will see you again.

Actually Chelle, everyone was on Timber Lane at our home for the fish fry 2 weeks before Larry died. We almost didn't have the get together 'cause money was awful "funny"-low-and we couldn't afford the $300-$400 spent. But we did anyhow. Not to mention it was the hottest day of that summer. We're 100% certain that it was God ordained and inspired! It seemes like he was in every photo, and was seem talking and kidding with just about each family member-sharing the very last love!

Like you and Jacque, it's still surreal, that Larry's is really gone. We understand and rejoice that He is with the Father of us all and having a party in Heaven! But the hole in our hearts is still really big-long and tall just like Larry!
