With sales taxes down- is this really a good idea?? I am NO smoker. I think they have a right to do as they plez. What about a SMOKING ONLY place??? People would call it discrimination- well what is this called?? When people go to bars the majority of them are SMOKERS. Its like a bunch of grades schoolers. Lets create MORE laws, this is really ridiculous.

Wouldn't bother me one bit if they banned smoking from bars. I just think it's awful that people with asthma, etc. can't even go out and watch bands, etc. because of smoke. JMO, and I know most don't agree.

Why don't these people try to save someone that needs saving, like children and leave the rest of us alone. The ones trying to shove more laws down our throats are the same ones drinking several glasses of wine with their meals and driving with their children in their cars. So until you get your head out of the dark place SHUT UP.

Dang....I'm all for banning smoking in as many places as possible, and I do not have several glasses of wine with my dinner and drive my children around. Where is all this hostility coming from?

Perhaps you simply never thought of the precedents these bans bring with them?

Tell us...when the owner of the property is forced to change their LEGAL lifestyle of choice on their own land...even in their private office all alone...what loss of rights would you quote?

When like minded individuals lose the right to gather together indoors in peace and comfort to enjoy a LEGAL lifestyle of choice...what loss of rights would quote?

If this can now be done to one LEGAL lifestyle of choice...what protects others if the new self righteous moral busybodies turn their sights on them?

What a dangerous precedent indeed...for those who understand the difference between legal and illegal.

I know what you mean by all that. I'm all for people doing what they choose in their own homes. However, smoking in public places harms people who are NOT smoking. Kinda' like drinking and driving harms people who are not doing it. I just feel like people with lung diseases, asthma, etc should be able to go hang out with friends at a bar, without having to breathe in smoke. JMO

SHS is worse? come on! the employee's don't have to work anywhere they have any problem with. They don't like to work where others smoke they can always work somewhere else, nobody forces them to work there.

Thank You, I'm a smoker but respect non-smokers. We have the same rights as others.

The government should not be able to ban smoking in places that people can chose to go to or not. The business should be able to make that decision. If they think they can gain business by going nonsmoking then go ahead. If they think they can make more money by having it so smokey you can hardly see; then that is what they should be able to do. No one is forced to go to the bar, casino, or any other similar place. The government needs to keep out of individuals rights.

Ok, I am not a smoker and I think this a little to much. Here it is laid out. Let's ban smoking in bars but still allow the bar to serve alchol till 2am while some patrons get to drunk to drive home but do anyway, hmm, makes sense to me, not! Sounds like more of a witch hunt of the season, next season our dirty polictians will be attacking some other freedom of ours.

Everywhere you go is a choice. All I'm saying is this is a health issue. It's pretty sad that people with certain health conditions can't enjoy going to a bar, etc. What is so wrong with having to go outside to smoke? I totally understand that you don't want other individual liberties taken away. I'm only for banning the one's that harm others.

Daily Horoscope for December 21

Aquarius

Although you're still feeling sociable and outgoing, the Solstice brings the need for a little time to yourself now and then. It's time to temper your busy social life with some precious moments of solitude. Make sure you do, as this need is something important and life-enhancing. It will certainly recharge your inner batteries, which might be a little run down.
