The White House Just Got Completely Destroyed by 2 Really Smart Guys On Paycheck Fairness Act

8KShares By Bubba Atkinson 5 hours ago

Pulitzer Prize-winning columnists and authors Charles Krauthammer and George Will take down the White House’s Paycheck Fairness marketing push. When the White House is guilty of the same thing they are advocating against, it makes it extremely easy to make the case that this is purely political.

Krauthammer:

Is there anybody who thinks that Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett and the other important people in this administration are deliberately discriminating against women in the White House? Of course not. In fact, when Jay Carney was asked about this he gave the remarkable answer of ‘well, that’s better than the others are doing. As if he is saying ‘well this White House discriminates against women but we discriminate in moderation.’ The correct answer is that these are not the results of deliberate discrimination by any means,”

Say, if I were a cynic, I’d say that the Democrats’ belligerent bashing of the Koch brothers, the minimum wage push that the CBO says will cost 500,000 jobs, and this dubiously titled ‘Paycheck Fairness’ act are all just distractions. I wonder what the White House would want to distract from?

Millions just lost their insurance and/or their doctors due to ObamaCare. 30 million are left uninsured after ObamaCare. And 95% of the income gains over the last 5 years went to the top 1%. This isn’t to necessarily say Republican ideas are exactly what we need as a country, but at some point Democrats are going to have to wake up to the reality of facts.

Wow.

New IRS emails released by the House Oversight Committee show staff working for Democratic Ranking Member Elijah Cummings communicated with the IRS multiple times between 2012 and 2013 about voter fraud prevention group True the Vote. True the Vote was targeted by the IRS after applying for tax exempt status more than two years ago. Further, information shows the IRS and Cummings' staff asked for nearly identical information from True the Vote President Catherine Engelbrecht about her organization, indicating coordination and improper sharing of confidential taxpayer information.

Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Darrell Issa, along with five Subcommittee Chairmen are demanding Cummings provide an explanation for the staff inquiries to the IRS about True the Vote and for his denial that his staff ever contacted the IRS about the group.

“Although you have previously denied that your staff made inquiries to the IRS about conservative organization True the Vote that may have led to additional agency scrutiny, communication records between your staff and IRS officials – which you did not disclose to Majority Members or staff – indicates otherwise,” the letter to Cummings states.“As the Committee is scheduled to consider a resolution holding Ms. Lerner, a participant in responding to your communications that you failed to disclose, in contempt of Congress, you have an obligation to fully explain your staff’s undisclosed contacts with the IRS.”

The first contact between the IRS and Cummings' staffers about True the Vote happened in August 2012. In January 2013, staff asked for more information from the IRS about the group. Former head of tax exempt groups at the IRS Lois Lerner went out of her way to try and get information to Cummings' office. The information Cummings received was not shared with Majority Members on the Committee.

On January 28, three days after staffers requested more information, Lerner wrote an email to her deputy Holly Paz, who has since been put on administrative leave, asking,“Did we find anything?” Paz responded immediately by saying information had not been found yet, to which Lerner replied,“Thanks, check tomorrow please.”

Internal Revenue Service employees urged callers to vote for President Obama, disparaged Republicans in conversations with taxpayers and wore pro-Obama swag at work during the 2012 election cycle, according to a federal ethics watchdog.

The Office of Special Counsel, which reviews whistleblower allegations, highlighted the three cases in an announcement on Wednesday. Federal law, specifically the Hatch Act, prohibits federal employees from engaging in partisan campaign

The announcement came the same day the House Ways and Means Committee voted along party lines to refer former IRS official Lois Lerner for criminal prosecution for alleged actions related to the agency’s targeting of advocacy groups during the last two election cycles. Lerner’s attorney has repeatedly asserted that his client has done nothing wrong.

OSC said in its announcement that it filed a complaint with the Merit Systems Protection Board against an IRS customer-service worker who allegedly encouraged taxpayers to reelect Obama by “repeatedly reciting a chant based on the spelling of [the president's] last name.”

“Given the seriousness of the allegations and the employee’s Hatch Act knowledge, OSC is seeking significant disciplinary action,” the watchdog agency said.

OSC said an IRS tax-advisory specialist in a separate case will serve a 14-day suspension for promoting partisan political views while assisting a taxpayer during the 2012 election season. The worker admitted to Hatch Act violations after a recorded conversation revealed she had shared anti-Republican opinions with a customer.

OSC quoted the employee saying:“Republicans already [sic] trying to cap my pension and … they’re trying to take women back 40 years.”

The employee added that her mother had always told her voting Republican would hurt the poor and make the rich more wealthy, saying she found the advice to be true, according to OSC.

In a third case, the watchdog agency issued “cautionary guidance” to an IRS taxpayer-assistance center in Dallas following allegations that workers wore pro-Obama stickers, buttons and clothing at their jobs and displayed similar screensavers on agency computers. OSC said the items were “commonplace around the office.”

Federal employees are not supposed to wear or display partisan items in the workplace, according to OSC.

The IRS said on Wednesday that it cannot comment on specific situations involving employees, but that the agency requires its employees to follow Hatch Act guidelines and other rules for political activity by federal workers.

“The IRS regularly reminds employees of the Hatch Act guidelines,” the statement said.“When the IRS receives allegations of violations of the Hatch Act, it follows all the proper procedures and protocols and refers the matter to the U.S. Office of Special Counsel.”

OK, I read it. And yes no one wants smelly homeless Indians using
parks for toilets. The only real problem in Shawnee is being able
to distinguish between the smelly Indians and the resident smelly Okies.

Clean up Shawnee, bathe at least weekly.

Republican States' Rejection of Medicaid Expansion Is "Almost Awesome in its Evilness"

Jon Gruber is a heath care expert from MIT who advised Romney in the creation of the Massachusetts Plan (Romneycare) and was involved with the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). In an interview today with the Washington Monthly, he said out loud what the tradmed has concealed as much as it could:

Really, a life-costing tragedy has taken place in America as a result of that Supreme Court decision. You know, half the states in America are denying their poorest citizens health insurance paid for by the federal government.
snip

They are not just not interested in covering poor people, they are willing to sacrifice billions of dollars of injections into their economy in order to punish poor people. It really is just almost awesome in its evilness.

Really, Oklahoma wouldn't even provide health care or help the homeless even if it was Jesus.....

Oklahoma has had more magnitude 3 or higher earthquakes so far this year than in all of 2013, a statistic that’s led some to fear that the uptick in quakes is related to fracking in the state.

In 2013, according to Bloomberg News, Oklahoma experienced 109 earthquakes of magnitude 3 or higher. That number was reached again just a little over three months into 2014. The state experienced its 109th magnitude 3 earthquake of 2014 on April 6, followed by a magnitude 4 earthquake on April 7. In the last 30 days alone, Oklahoma has had 133 earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 or higher — the base level at which seismologists say earthquakes can be felt — and the April 7 quake was the fifth of that magnitude felt by the state since March 30.
Before 2009, Oklahoma experienced few 3.0 or higher earthquakes — no more than three a year from 1991 to 2008. But in 2009, the amount of fracking wastewater injected deep into the ground has risen, and so has the number of earthquakes in the state. Since 2009, earthquake activity in Oklahoma has consistently been about 40 times higher than the average of the previous 30 years.

Some of these earthquakes — particularly the series that hit near Langston, Oklahoma — are occurring close to injection wells, so state officials are working to determine whether the injection of wastewater played a role in causing these earthquakes.

Oklahoma Has Already Had More Magnitude 3 Earthquakes This Year Than All Of Last Year

“We certainly likely have cases of earthquakes being caused by different oil and gas activity,” Austin Holland, a research seismologist with the Oklahoma Geological Survey, told Bloomberg.“Evaluating those carefully can take significant amounts of time, especially when we’re swamped.”

Earthquakes have been linked to the fracking process in Oklahoma before. Earlier this year, a study from the U.S. Geological Survey found that wastewater injection was the likely trigger for a swarm of earthquakes in the state in 2011, including a 5.7 magnitude quake that was largest earthquake associated with wastewater injection. That earthquake was likely triggered by an earlier earthquake, which was likely triggered by wastewater injection.

White House Insider: Barack Has Lost ‘All Control’ Over Mooching
Sources explained that sentiment in the White House heated up after Michelle refused to cancel hear lavish taxpayer-funded trip to China last week. “This was a blowout of epic proportions – probably the nastiest White House fight they’ve ever had,” the insider told reporters.“They were both screaming at one another.”
Michelle’s China trip put the Obamas over the $150 million mark for vacation expenses.

Multiple Earthquakes Reported Across Oklahoma

Posted: Apr 10, 2014 4:58 AM CDT

By News9.com - email

EDMOND, Oklahoma - At least eight quakes have rattled neighborhoods and nerves across Oklahoma.
The swarm started late Wednesday night with two earthquakes, 2.7 and 3.3 in magnitude, near Perry, and a 2.8 magnitude southwest of Guthrie.

Just after midnight, a 2.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded seven miles south of Guthrie. Two more quakes were reported east of Perry before 2 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 2:33 a.m., a significant jolt woke people up across central Oklahoma when a 4.2 magnitude was recorded between Guthrie and Edmond, according to the Oklahoma Geological Survey.

Viewers reported feeling the quake and aftershocks as far away as Tulsa.

No major damage or injuries have been reported.

At 3:19 a.m., another earthquake was recorded seven miles south, southeast of Guthrie and eight miles north of Edmond. The Oklahoma Geological Survey reports that this earthquake was 3.8 in magnitude.

At 8:18 a.m., a 2.8 magnitude earthquake struck seven miles south, southwest of Guthrie.

At 11:53 a.m., a 3.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded eight miles west, southwest of Pawnee. And again, at 1 p.m., another 3.7 magnitude earthquake struck the same area.

Just think how many oil pipelines run through this area, that were likely not built to earthquake standards. We are watching the makings of an ecological disaster that may rival the dust bowl. These events are the direct result of fracking. Read the reports at the OGS website. The link is in the story above.
