New allegations over the EB-5 program, which has snagged one nomination to the Homeland Security Department, now threatens to embroil Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat.(AP)

A program that gives coveted immigrant green cards to wealthy foreign investors was so susceptible to fraud and abuse that it was used by an Iranian network that sought to send banned high technology home and spread terrorism abroad, federal investigators said.

The EB-5 program was used by “a network involved in a series of international assassinations and terrorism operations” that also was “procuring a variety of goods for Iranian entities,” states an unsigned memo from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement made public Thursday. The memo was written in response to questions asked by Janet A. Napolitano as homeland security secretary

"[Y]ou republicans are so cute" his post reads, with an image that says: "The Republican Party: Health Care: Let 'em Die, Climate Change: Let 'em Die, Gun Violence: Let 'em Die, Women's Rights: Let 'em Die, More War: Let 'em Die. Is this really the side you want to be on?"

Pierson also described himself in a Facebook post as "Keynesian" when it came to economic thinking, and criticized free market thinkers:

In one Facebook post, Pierson attacks the philosophies of economist Adam Smith, who through his invisible-hand theory pushed the notion that the free market was self-regulating. In another post, he describes himself as "Keynesian."

Pierson's classmates described the suspected gunman's political beliefs as "outside the mainstream," and Pierson as "an outspoken kid about what he believed and a good political thinker." Another classmate said Pierson held "very strong beliefs about gun laws."

The Los Angeles Times quotes friends who described Pierson as an advocate for gun rights. In its lengthy report, The Los Angeles Times does not, however, include the information about the Facebook posts wherein Pierson describes himself as Keynesian or mocks Republicans as wanting people to die.
==========

Hmmmm, who else espouses such nonsense as Keynesian theory of economics, immense hatred for republicans, making claims such as what Pierson posted on his FaceBook account. Sounds exactly like Karen Janbaz has posted over and over again. What is a person to conclude but the most obvious of conclusions.

Karen Janbaz and her mindset is a cancer on our society, an illness of lethal results, warped and perverted to the core of their being. Pierson was booted from the debate team instead of learning from his mistakes he decides to 'kill' his instructor. He goes to school with a loaded shotgun which he legally purchased and goes hunting for the instructor instead of finding his original target he decides to shoot a girl in the head wounding her critically then turn the gun on himself and commits suicide. What a waste of life, a tragedy and Pierson was the ultimate coward. I'm sure he supported abortion at all stages of pregnancy as a birth control method just like Karen Janbaz, with corrupt morals like that human life just isn't that important!

I found it interesting that classmates recognized Pierson's personal political beliefs were 'out of the mainstream'....shame Karen Janbaz refuses to see the obvious.

Fox News---We Deceive, You Believe.

It has been revealed that Fox News’ does practice using paid commenters with fake social media accounts, to deceive the online community. Members of Fox’s online PR staff created between twenty and a hundred fake profiles on social media accounts each. The accounts are used by PR staff in order to push the station’s extreme right-wing agenda.

The point of these fake commenters is not just to push a specific agenda. It’s also to deceive the unsuspecting public about the actual amount of support that exists for that agenda. Paid commenters use vicious attacks against anyone who posts an opposing opinion. Eventually the attacks have the effect of driving people with opposite views away from the targeted sites. This allows them to dominate the web with their fake profiles, while at the same time discouraging real people from participating in the discussion.

The right-wing agenda being pushed by these paid commenters, hired by Fox and other sources, doesn’t just include tax breaks for the rich and the myth of corporate person-hood. It includes racism, sexism, homophobia, hatred of the poor and much more

GOP Senator Lamar Alexander’s Aide Arrested For Child Pornography

We last heard from Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) back in July, when he was fighting for his constituents’ right to fish in poisoned waters that had been declared unsafe by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Now he’s got bigger fish to fry. Politico reports that Lamar Alexander’s chief of staff, Jesse Ryan Loskarn, was arrested this week for not just having a little child pornography lying around but for distributing the nasty stuff. Now, there are some good old GOP family values for ya.

Polygamy remains illegal in Utah. But it’s no longer illegal to cohabitate with multiple people you consider your spouses in a plural marriage there.

The ruling handed down Friday by U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups effectively invalidated much of Utah’s anti-polygamy law in practice, the result of a case pressed by Kody Brown and his family, the people at the center of the “Sister Wives” reality television show.

Brown and his family star in the TLC channels’ reality show “Sister Wives,” which documents the life of their polygamist family. While the show started with the Browns living in Lehi, Utah, but Brown and his four wives fled Utah for Las Vegas in 2011, ahead of prosecutors looking to enforce Utah’s 150-year-old ban on polygamy. While all states have legal prohibitions on bigamy, Utah’s bigamy law is among the strictest — it bans people from even claiming to be married to more than one partner, and it bans “unrelated” polygamous families from living together.

The problem with Mormons isn't plural marriage, it is "marriages" between septuagenarians and teenagers.

That and many of the plural marriages are supported by welfare. Allowing plural marriages would make it more difficult to pull off the welfare fraud.

All you rich LDS mormons, can now come out from your "sister wives" closet now. You don't have to hide them in the house you have for them out of state.
