Evidently the trains owned by Buffet are causing far more spills than a pipeline would. Besides, Obama doesn't' really 'need' Warren any more.

Pipelines are the way to go. Trains that carry oil are unsafe and dangerous. Ask the people in Quebec.

The Keystone pipeline is only beneficial to the oil & gas barons, NOT the country as a whole.

We won't see the price of gas drop by even a penny if this pipeline is approved because every drop of oil it carries will be exported to Asia.

The ONLY way I could support the pipeline is if it was required by law that every drop of crude it carries is used ONLY in America.

Now I wonder why the oil boosters in Congress are so opposed to that idea?

So Americans take all the risk, while Canada and the oil & gas barons get all the money.

If Canada wants to export their tar sands to Asia, let them build their OWN pipeline to Vancouver and let THEM put THEIR environment at risk.

why in the world would Canadian oil mined by international companies only be used in the US?

makes no sense. if you think stopping this pipeline will in some way stop the oil, you are kidding yourself... we might as well get our cut of the action...

how're the chickens doing?

Why in the world should Canadian oil mined by international companies and destined for Asia be shipped through the US?

We take ALL the risk of spills and get NONE of the benefits.

Chickens are doing great. They don't mind the cold, but hate the snow. My Easter Egger finally started laying green shelled eggs; the rest just lay brown shelled eggs.

How's about they build an oil REFINERY up there and sell that gas to Canadians?

Don't Canadians need gas??

They have the oil, why not refine it themselves INSTEAD of risking miles and miles and miles of potential environmental disasters within the United States??

When the accident happaened in Lac-Megantic,Quebec. killing 47 people the oil was being transported by rail from North Dakota to the Irving Refinery in Saint John,N.B.

Good point SpaceBlues. That Canada has their own refineries and that pipelines are safer for people rather than having oil transported by rail.
