Ending abortion is not the goal here, folks. The SCPL is highly in favor of back-alley abortions, and Gosnell-type practitioners. If they get their way, that's the going to be the only source for the procedure.

(Unless women return to the DIY method, of course.)

No, the goal here is to minimize and marginalize the role of women in society, back to the days when the only currency a woman had was her virginity and her fertility. These people are against ANY form of birth control, because it empowers women to refuse gestation. It's not just abortion they want to criminalize, it's contraception too.

We're entering a political climate, where 'The Handmaid's Tale' seems like a blueprint for society. It ain't gonna be pretty, ladies. The only recourse we have for these vast swathes of lost ground, is a Constitutional Amendment:

"The rights of all born persons, regardless of gender, to deny or allow the use of one's bodily organs and systems by another, born or unborn, shall not be infringed.

We must not complacently allow the rabid religious right to frame the conversation any longer. We must get into the business of demanding our reproductive freedom be protected, and that it not be subject to the whims of whatever political party is currently in charge.

I miss those old days, when male was male and female was female. If woman didn't want baby she went away to visit or sick aunt and was back home 9 months later when the aunt got better.

You know, we can change the words and the maps but Gods world and where he drew the maps have not changed. What God said is what God said, you can say differently, but God did not make adjustments or allow for ammendents in his word. Nothing new under the sun. We might think so, but do you realize not one more drop of water or a teaspoon of dirt has been added or taken away since the day God made our earth.

Abortion on demand has, in my judgment, contributes significantly to an environment in our country in which life has become very cheap.

Gun violence has not helped cheapening lives and making our country look foolish.

Since you drew the parallel between the two, I guess we should highly regulate both guns and abortion as both cheapen life.

Did we read you correctly?

Gun violence has been a part of urban gang life for years, offering an aggressive definition and identity to those seeking a place to belong in the chaos of large metro areas. Nip the gang violence and gun violence will decline.

Of course, the Bible does not oppose abortion at all...

FYI, there is quite a bit of "dirt" added every day - to the tune of 360,000 pounds!

The Left in America, the Marxist Democrats especially, abhor the idea of recognizing science, which clearly admits a unique human life starts at conception... a person. If they recognized science in this issue, it would deprive them of the core mainstay of Leftist thought... their ability to kill humans, who are inconvenient.

The Rightwing in America, the misogynist rapepublicans especially, abhor the idea of recognizing the constitution and science, which clearly admits a woman/girl is a person as opposed to a brainless incubator. If they recognized science in this issue, it would deprive them of the core mainstay of Rightwing thought... women are incubators to be directed by men and their male phallic worshipping religions.
