McCain paints a rosy picture

COLUMBUS: Sen. John McCain declared Thursday that most U.S. troops would be home from Iraq by 2013 and that the nation would be a functioning democracy with only ''spasmodic'' episodes of violence.

You are 100% correct. Why put another Republican in there after the 8 dismal years BUSH has offered? It just doesn't make sense to continue down the same road we are now.

I love the way this man makes things up for his campaign. The war is no closer to completion than it was 4 years ago, yet he tells us we'll get it all fixed in the next 4 years... like he has some secret formula Bush doesn't.

He simply telling us what we want to hear folks - not uncommon for a politician, but sometimes these lies are so obvious they're laughable.

Thank y'all, but I'll leave things like that to those who are experts at what comes from a horse. Most are experts on manure.

Lets' see. The demoncritters promised to end the war immediately once they had control of congress, iff'n only the faithful voted them into office.

They've had control for a year and a half, and we're no closer to the end of the war.

Now these same faithful are condemnin' ol' McCain for promisin' to try and end the war iff'n he's voted into office.

He doesn't even say how he's going to get us out of Iraq. I just hope everyone realizes it's BS, just like the gas tax holiday.

What is wrong with people if they haven't learned to trust Republicans by now?

By election day, this candidate should be able to promise all right thinking Americans the following:

1. Peace with honor.

2. An end to budget deficits caused by tax and spend Democrats.

3.(Christian) Prayer in the schools.

4. An end to a woman's right to any abortion.

5. A Constitutional amendment to prohibit gay marriages.

What this candidate will be able to deliver is even more clear:

1. Government by and for the multi-national corporation.

2. Tax and spend kleptocracy.

3. Katrina-like care for the rest of the country.(We're not just screwing New Orleans anymore ...)

4. A Consitutional amendment prohibiting democracy.

5. Government establishment of payday lenders.

It is a truism that people get the kind of government that they deserve.

If you truly support America, stick your head in the TV and turn your liberty over to the best soundbite candidate.

I hold my white nose and vote for Barack. McCain is a FOOL !!!! His appeasement comment that agreed with Bush_A$$ that we shouldn't talk to Iran yesterday really took the cake. We cannot take 4 more years of this economy and Iraq War failure, no matter who the Dem nominee is.

I still think Hillary will surprise and be the nominee.

Congress and the Bush administration all talk a good talk when it is election time. The problem with McCain is that he will try to expand the war to Iran and our gutless congress will allow for it to happen. McCain doesn't have a clue on how to handle the economy and he isn't really concerned about it. His number one goal is to pacify Israel. It doesn't matter what party it is they are all no good.

Typical Sane person,

Please go down and pick up your heart medicine because your not getting enough oxygen to your brain. You said all the major intelligence communities said there were WMDS in Iraq. Then why are only the US and Britain of the major powers send troops to Iraq? Wouldn't have been in the best interest of these countries to eliminate the WMDS to keep their countries safe.

The Iraq quagmire started very soon after "Mission Accomplished" and was occuring for more than 18 months before the 2004 election, but the dumb*** Ohio voters could not see through Bush's pile of cow manure and re-elected him.

Please think rationally about what is best for the entire country, not the few elites and the multi-national corporations and vote for the candidate that expresses your hopes and dreams of what America should be, not what America is now.

And then you have posters on here who, because they have personally benefited from the Bush years, are willing to throw the rest of us to the dogs to keep benefitting.

You don't REALLY think they care about the country, do you? They only care about their own pockets - just like the guys on the top. If your dong well enough, you can insulate yourself from the bad things.
