I sure hope keeping this lodge open with our dime doesn't come back to haunt us. Been by there several times and the 18 hole golf course doesn't look like any progress at all. They are having trouble getting the greens in on the par 3. Landscaping around the lodge is terrible and unkept. This just no place that will appeal to bring people here.

And once again the commissioners show their ignorance.

They are actually working very hard there to upgrade the property. Remember, prior to the new ownership the facility was in terrible shape! I say give the new group some time to work their magic and the lodge will be a great place to visit.

Oil gas leases & companies and their associates are about as trustworthy as a crooked lawyer, car salesman, and insurance company wrapped into one....many are just silver tongued scoundrels in sheep clothing that hide behind an army of lawyers and confusing, misleading, and ambiguous legal talk that is NEVER to the landowner's favor in these contracts....many have learned this, some are still learning, and now the Commissioners are beginning to take true measure and see the light.....better late than never......

Sounds like the Commissioners dropped the ball! Why was no one available for comment on Friday morning? Cell phones, email...with all of the electronic communications and NO ONE available at all!! Seriously? Our taxes dollars at work there I see! Either defend yourselves or admit you made a mistake fella's.

As for the lodge, it's a work in progress. It sat empty for a very long time. Rome wasn't built in a day!
