Granted the D@C is a wast and those stories are trivial.Still why would they report a pot bust in Ohio. Who cares?
I certainly don't feel any safer with those big bad pot farmers locked up.More evidence of police wasting their time going after trivial things and enforcing laws that are nothing more but stupid infringements of people's personal freedom.Instead maybe they should use their resources to go after child sex rings, murderers, robbers, human traffickers, etc. You know crimes that actual result in victims.

"""one suspect fled with his 7-year-old son. The suspect was later identified as a known drug violator, of Rochester, N.Y., and he plans to turn himself in to authorities, said troopers."""

Must be nice to just be able to turn yourself in when the time is right and when you get to it.

Well anybody who has half a brain has the idea it is because it was in a different state and is not really local news.

The government spends countless amounts of money and man power targeting marijuana growers and users. It's absurd that it's illegal to begin with, but can you imagine what good could be done if all that money and man power were used for legitimate purposes?

I agree. Send 20 police officers, smash in a door and recover an ounce of pot. Then arrest the user and bind him over for trial. The billions of taxpayer dollars the DEA and local PDs squander on marijuana enforcement is preposterous.

I understand and support enforcement for heroin, crack etc, but marijuana should be legalized (tax it, make it a revenue stream).

It would also give minority businesses a chance to expand.

It's local news you dimwit because some of the perps are FROM Rochester and $4 million is a BIG deal and maybe they started their little road trip here and maybe they live near you and maybe they're armed and dangerous so go back and ignore the real news and maybe you can concentrate on the pride roller derby.

So anytime someone from Rochester gets arrested in the country we need to know?BS. The D@C for sure does not report anything of importance.Go lock your doors and hug your wife because them big bad pot dealers are out there.Keep buying into the propaganda that the evil weed dealers are a real threat to people. This is just proof of how police waste their resources on victimless crime.

It's absurd to have any drugs be illegal. The outlawing of them cause much much more damage to society than the drugs do themselves. An example of how would be the problems with spice and bath salts we were having.Neither would ever had been around if the drugs they were there to mimic were not outlawed.A persons consciousness is theirs and theirs alone and by such they have every right to alter it however they please.

Drugs AREN'T victimless, you nimrod.
People die everyday due to drug crimes and overdoses.
Add to that the robberies, burglaries, assaults, fraud, broken families.

Lot's of victims.

Try opening your eyes and ears for a change.

Those "VICTIMS" choose to do the drugs.

Robberies & burglaries are the same thing ... sensationalizing it doesn't make more of it.

Go back and research how there is MORE assaults, fraud & broken families cause by the COPS trying to enforce these laws than created by your "victims". things like: no knock raids to the wrong house or without a warrant, stop & frisk without just cause cops planting drugs to justify harassing innocent people.

Maybe YOU need to try opening your eyes and ears for a change

Open your eyes a little. People who die of overdoses only have themselves to blame. No one else.Their downfall is their own doing. They are victims of themselves
Drug crimes and violence are the direct result of the laws against them. Drug laws do zero to mitigate the problems drugs create. They multiply them. The only reason our government has them is because it is extremely profitable for it to have them in place. They march to a tune of "what about your children" and people have a knee-jerk reaction and rabidly support it out of seeded fear.Any time someone pushes their view with "what about the kids" it is clear proof they are full of crap and playing your emotions. Truth is your kids may grow up to make some self-destructive choices. That is their choice and does not justify wasting money, manpower, and resources on trying to stop something that is unstoppable. It is a complete waste of time and an violation to the rights of the silly people who choose to do them.Criminals control the drugs only because drugs are criminal. Many many ex-law enforcement and other areas of drug enforcement have come say that drug laws only give a way for violent and dangerous people to fund their violent lifestyles. Look no further than the cartels. We have more problems with them now because we took out the black market business men who used violence to secure their profits. When they were gone they were replaced with even more violent psychopaths who use the drug profits to fund their violence. This why violence is increasing at the border.Drugs are not the problem. It is the black market that drug laws create that is the problem.

Typical

Whites being White. How many have been arrested for drugs this year alone?

And they wonder why they are looked down upon.

I don't understand your stance or racebaiting on this one.

I would think that you would agree that the police are wasting time and efforts on the drug war, as there are more blacks in jail for this than whites.

Ending the drug war would put less blacks in jail.
