We really miss Eric. Channel 6, you made a HUGE mistake. We will be looking for another morning news channel.

Why doesn't RTV6 cover the personnel changes on their own news casts. Isn't the loss of a seasoned reporter like Eric Weisfeld worthy of some explanation to those of us who look forward to the steady rock-like performance that some TV personalities bring to our lives? What a blow. I suggest that the station General Manager get in front of a camera and provide some explanation/opinion once in awhile. Other large city markets do this. Why not RTV6? Too chicken?

I emailed the channel 6 station to find out what happened to Eric. I was hoping they would at least tell me that he relocated or got another opportunity. Instead, the news director just said Eric "has left" the station and encouraged me to keep watching with Dan Spehler. The fact that they didn't even mention Eric was leaving makes me think they fired him. Bad move!

Best of luck to you Eric wherever you land.

Well, at least you got a response from the GM, Jen. I emailed him 2 weeks ago, and he hasn't even had the courtesy to respond. I not only no longer watch Good Morning Indiana. I now refuse to watch ANY news broadcast by RTV6.

Good luck, Eric. You have truly been one of the most talented anchormen on Indianapolis TV. I hope one of the other local networks recognizes your talent so I can remain the loyal fan I have been for so long. Wherever you end up, I know you will land on your feet. You have the rare ability be able to be a serious newsman while still caring about you viewers. Other stations are either trying so hard to be fun and entertaining that it's hard to take them seriously, or they are dry and monotone without a personality. Thank you for brining a personality to the news while never sacrificing your journalistic professionalism.

I turn off the morning news when Emily comes on. She is irritating for so early in the morning.

For weeks now I've been wondering what happened to Eric. I finally got online to check it out and see what happened to him. What a shame RTV6!!!! I've been watching Eric, Grace and Paul since I moved here from NY and they were the closest anchor team I could find that made me feel like home. They had great chemistry! They were a great team. I guess Fox will now have me as a permanent viewer!!! Eric has class!!!! That should have been evident when he appeared in a national magazine. Or was that too much competition for upper management????

I am really sad to learn that Eric will no longer be a part of the morning show. I felt that Eric, Grace and Paul made a good team!!!

I really liked Eric. Getting rid of him was a big mistake by Channel 6. I guess I could watch NBC now until I start for work at 7:00 - then I will be listening to Good Morning America on the radio. I really appreciated the professionalism and humor of the Eric, Grace, and Paul team.

RTV has been going down hill for some time, they never seem to be concerned with what we want to watch...do they even care what the viewers think? If it wasn't for Netweork shows they would have little in teh way of any ratings beyond PBS. So what's next Station Manager....who knows when you make decisions by flipping a coin....Who's Side are you On anyway (Gag slogan by the way).....click, Ex viewer

WRTV won't tell its viewers anything. This is the same station that fired veteran chief meteorologist Bob McLain in 2001, and then gave him scraps over the next 5 years as a fill-in. They would never put Bob or Cliff Nicholson on their website, either. Just recently, they had Kevin Lighty from Lexington doing the weather, and now he's gone, too. They've never once done any sort of tributes for their talent. They have no loyalty whatsoever to their employees, and they sure don't car what the viewers think. It's no wonder they did away with Eric. Very sad.

How much does emily gimmel spend per week on peroxide? She is incredibly annoying. WRTV took a big step backwards when Stephanie Soviar left.

If anyone remembers Bob Mclaine's last day then you'll remember the incredulous look on his face and the words he spoke about hoping to be given the chance to report weather again somewhere here in Indy. RTV made his termination look like a "going away party". Shame on them!

Clyde & Diane left the station "to pursue other interests" but actually had broken the "No Fraternization" clause in their contract. They were given the face-saving option of "quitting" on the air. Barbara Walters offered it to Star Jones, who refused and left on her own terms. Now Rosie has announced whe's leaving The View. Rest assured, she's been canned. Same as Eric, Bob and the rest.

Emily Gimmel is a waste of time on television. She is a blonde bimbo who brings down the rest of us in this profession. The only reason she continues to work as a journalist is because her daddy and mommy keep getting her nice jobs. Hello? Did anyone realize that she was fired from WKYT in Lexington for having a DUI? She parties all night and comes into work hungover to do fluff peices that a ten year old could cover. She doesn't take her profession seriously, she never payed any attention in a single journalism class, she's obviously doesn't care about herself because she's been in bed with just about every athlete in the United States. She's promiscuous, untalented and a very representation of Indy. Maybe if she went back to school, learned what a journalist actually does, threw out her peroxide and prostitute caked-on face, and cleaned up her act could I ever take her seriously. Yuck.

I agree Emily makes me change the channel. She's absolutely dreadful to look at and hear. Wish WRTV would get ride of that floozy and hire a real journalist.

Aw I remember when Bob Mclain came and spoke to us when we were in third grade. He had such bushy eyebrows. I didn't know they fired him though.

What athlete would stoop that low? She reminds me of my college days when I'd wake up Sunday morning and look at what's next to me and say to myself "I gotta quit drinking so much."

I feel sorry forJulie Pursley. She always has to cover the stories out in the rain and snow. I think they should bring Eric back.
