Mark Pitta to host two full days of near-nonstop comedy
Stand-up comic Mark Pitta is a very funny guy. His impression of an apoplectic Al Pacino ordering coffee at Starbucks is to die laughing for.

Only in Marin would anybody pay to see Mark Pitta. Wow it takes some big
balls to call yourself funny. The Gigolo and is a little funnier than Scott Cappuro- and that's not saying much. To be honest, i really think comedy is a young guy's game. |

Comedy is a funnymans game, and Mark laughs at his own jokes too much.

Mark is a very funny guy, and the fact that he laughs at his own jokes is part of his charm and very endearing. He has a great rapport with his audience. |

"...To be honest, i really think comedy is a young
guy's game." Rodney Dangerfield was, "to be honest," not funny then. |
I'm pretty sure he ment that comedians are better at what they do while they are young.. their fire goes out while they age.. This guy probably is Mark Pitta, defending himself. But anyway. Pitta has himself a real upscale crappy gig.. if it wasn't in Marin County, he probably would be drinking himself to sleep at night wondering where his career has gone. to further my point, people tend to show up to his shows to see Dana Carvey, Robin Williams, etc. Who also have to step down and out of the way of the public eye to make room for young new comics that will keep the world laughing years after these guys pass. and we all know thats probably sooner then later. |

One more thought:
Not only does Pitta host, which should be good enough, he needs his name all over the events, every single one.. sounds like someone likes attention? I think it would make more sense for a young talent to host those shows, so that he could build a career, to be on the same stage as maybe robin williams and dana carvey.. build a resume or some kind. But no, instead we get Mark Pitta.. squeezing the hell out of his last 15 minutes.. if you even want to call it that. |

Maybe you don't realize that the comedy game is not a 9-to-5 gig with health insurance and other bennies. I'm not Mark Pitta, and I have to say that I'd only give him a B grade for the one time I saw him, but you're being unreasonably harsh on the guy. He's just trying to make a living. He hasn't hit the stratosphere like Carvey and Williams, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't stop trying to ply his trade. |

I would not miss it for the world !!!! I'm bringing friends on each day !! We are so there to support this charity !!! Can't wait to see you Mark Pitta & Friends !!

If you have ever had the good fortune to speak to Robin Williams or Dana Carvey, you would probably come to find that they have a great deal of respect for Mark Pitta. Do'nt be so quick to judge. Life is too short.

Geez, give the guy a break.
Quite right Suzie...Mark is very well liked and respected withing the business and the community. Marin/Mill Valley is lucky to have someone of Mark's caliber entertaining the masses every week. He is a very nice guy doing a very nice thing for a fellow comedian. I, too, will be there all weekend to support him. |

K-MV, suzie.. I didn't mean to attack your hero. and i'm sure people your age look at Mark Pitta and his LA nose job and just damn near faint. He has no material, and should take his name off of the shows name and everything he touches.. its not his name selling out shows, its his 'friends', other comedians at the end of their careers.. He knows he would be treated like a rookie act in San Francisco, the reason why he only performs in this one, single theater. Realize that he only appeals to his groupies, whom are his age group, you two for example.
