If you're gonna believe what is written in the scripture, then you have to believe everything, and not just pick and choose to your liking.
But then again, isn't that what MOST Christians do?

Cuomo is notable for his liberal political views, particularly his steadfast opposition to the death penalty, an opinion that was unpopular in New York during the high-crime era of the 1980s and early '90s. While governor, he vetoed several bills that would have re-established capital punishment in New York State (the death penalty was in fact reinstated by Pataki the year after he defeated Cuomo in the 1994 election, although it was never put into effect and its statute declared unconstitutional by the New York Court of Appeals in 2004).[citation needed]
Cuomo is pro-choice on abortion. In a speech at the University of Notre Dame on September 13, 1984, he used the statements of the American Catholic hierarchy to argue "that what is ideally desirable isn't always feasible, that there can be different political approaches to abortion besides unyielding adherence to an absolute prohibition."[1] For this political position, Cardinal John Joseph O'Connor considered excommunicating him.[12][13]
He has also been outspoken on what he perceives to be the unfair stereotyping of Italian Americans. Cuomo also opposed the move of the National Football League's New York Giants and New York Jets to the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey, choosing instead to attend the home games of the Buffalo Bills while serving as governor, referring to the Bills as "New York State's only team."

This, from the American Psychological Association:
"Are gay men more likely to molest children? General public perception is that child molestation is directly linked to homosexuality. Perhaps it's because many continue to falsely associate homosexuality exclusively with sexual behavior and thus believe children are not safe around gay men. This misguided perception has led to widespread opposition to gay teachers, religious leaders and day care providers among others. But is the link between gays and pedophilia fact or myth?
Adoption expert, Carrie Craft cites the Child Welfare Information Gateway (previously National Adoption Information Clearinghouse) as stating, "A child's risk of being molested by his or her relatives' heterosexual partner is over one hundred times greater than by someone who might be identifiable as being homosexual." The study also found that of 269 cases of child sex abuse, only two offenders where found to be gay or lesbian. The American Psychological Association agrees, "Another myth about homosexuality is the mistaken belief that gay men have more of a tendency than heterosexual men to sexually molest children. There is no evidence to suggest that homosexuals molest more children."
According to these reputable studies, gay men are actually less likely to molest children. So, will these myth-busters change general perception?"
My opinion to that question...... Not on THIS blog. Too many uninformed and uneducated individuals here who are still living in the early to mid 20th century. They still believe what their parents and grandparents told them about homosexuality.
To those individuals..... DO SOME READING, BECOME INFORMED, AND EDUCATE YOURSELVES!
.....AND JOIN THE 21ST CENTURY!
At last! Someone with a brain, however, you will be mocked because most people on this blog would not know the truth if it hit them in the face.

HOW CREDIBLE ARE THE ACCUSATIONS ?
According to the John Jay study, 3 percent of all priests against whom allegations were made were convicted and about 2 percent received prison sentences.

TOO MANY MONDAY MORNING QUARTBACKS

Card. Mahoney wrote that he did not find it in the books
of his social studies in the 50's.

As Dr. Monica Applewhite has explained:
"From the 1950's to the 1980's,[] treatment-based interventions for sexual criminals were not only enormously prevalent in the United States, but surveys of ordinary citizens showed that they were enormously popular [T]he science of human sexuality and sexual offending is extraordinarily young. Virtually all of the information we utilize today regarding the treatment and supervision of sexual offenders has been discovered since 1985.

Let them mock.
That will only prove that those bloggers are truly uninformed, uneducated and living in the past.

Perhaps some of them still think that women and blacks shouldn't have the right to vote. LOL!

it was really an eye opener. It gives you an idea of what the clergy perceives itself as. It explains a lot of the strange human behavior they exhibit.

Some great renewal and revival. All the money for repairs and restoration comes from outside sources. It appears that the parishioners are unable to come up with any money out of their own pockets. If the parishioners aren't coming up with their own money, where is the money going to come from for regular upkeep and maintenance once all the restoration work will be completed. Why should non parishioners subsidize a church for parishioners who have no money. You can't blame the Franciscans for neglect, the parishioners did not come up with money for upkeep. You can not blame the Franciscans for getting out when they did. There weren't any parishioners and ther wasn't any money.
None of this is your business or your problem, now or in the future. The only reason you are interested is because .......?
Jealousy? envy? Don't be bothered . Nobody needs people who are negative. If you want an education join us any time, but don't complain, just fix the plumbing, clean the toilets and weed the garden and shovel the snow like a lot of us have done until late at night when everybody thought we would be shot or attacked.
We do it because we do not want to go to a barnyard mass in the suburbs with snobs who have forgotten that they came from the east and west side of Buffalo. We have not forgotten the beautiful church our grandfathers built. Why have you? And why do YOU feel guilty for not remembering and appreciating it? Your Polish grandparents would be ashamed of you.

Will it tell us what percentage of the pedophiles were or are gay?

And how much the victims families received. I like the facts.

The pick and choose Christians like to be political in their approach. Some of us do not pick and choose, we try to follow as best we can. Sometimes we fail.

Most pedophiles are heterosexual men and women. I think you are confusing them with men whose emotional growth was stunted and who think of themselves as teenagers who are attracted to teenagers. I believe this is a man-made condition brought to us by the wackadoodles that ran the seminaries.

Is Jacek going to have a funeral service at St. George's Church in the Falls? What is going on with his gossipers from Divine Mercy?
