Did the pastor in Java know anything about it. He didn't live to far from him.

I heard Woody is the new organist at St Thomas Aquinas on Abbot Road and started today. Is he going to leave CCC? Whoever played on today's Radio Mass at Stan's was awful. What is happening to Polonia's organists?!

My mother in law called me last night. She attends
the 7:00 PM Mass on Sunday's at Saint Jude's Church
in North Tonawanda. She really likes the priest
Father Joe Moreno who celebrates the Mass every Sunday. She loves his homilies. The Good Father
announced that he will no longer be able to say
the mass after December becuase of his schedule being too full. She said people were upset and crying. Is there anyway the priest can stay?

Maybe they should just go to mass in the morning like everyone else instead of crying and histrionics. It's only a time, it's not like the church closed.

Go to the 'casino parish' and you will be 'divinely inspired' by the 'illustrious one' in the Falls! No match with Fr. Moreno!

Cunningham lost his bid to become USCCB Secretary-General. Some people from the DOB had posted warnings about him on National Catholic Reporter, esp. as regards his handling of clergy sex abuse in the DOB. I am sure some of these bishops saw these comments. Who knows? The comments may have influenced they way they voted.

SJG bulletin is still offline. Is the new pastor even aware that Lavern had it take down?

Do you mean Fr. Wood from St. Cecelia's or the other priest?

How come 'the golden boy' did not inform him about since he monitors all the blogs that appear on this topix?

Yes,the bishops realized this, too. Maybe the Vatican will not discover this and not send him back to Buffalo. Actually Cunningham is not too popular in Syracuse, either.

Was it the 7pm or one of the morning masses? If it's the 7pm my guess is he can stay at CCC, because it won't interfere. If it's in the morning it might be a different story?

Sounds kind of creepy too! Why would people be crying? They hardly know this guy. Do they cry when they get a new doctor? Sounds like this is the best thing for all involved.

Well lets keep this in perspective.... No one is dead, sick or injured. The church is not closing. He is primarily at St. Lawrence in the inner city. If he is so beloved then these folks can throw their support behind him and the parish he is mainly serving. They can drive to St. Lawrence and see him at any mass they want. Maybe they can look at this as a calling to do something in support of a little church in need of additional parishoners. Sometimes you have to put in a bit of effort when things don't turn out exactly as you would like it.

Nor can the laity! But Cunningham could get a plum job now as consultant to Jerry Sandusky re how to get one's butt out of the grinder by making the victims out to be the instigators, liars etc.
