If anybody should be fired it is all the thought police at the FCC. This is a draconian agency that has outlived it's time and usefulness. With the mainstream public now fully ensconced in satellite radio,TV and Cable Television the FCC is running out of things to have juristiction over. Over the air TV is going all digital which will more than likely push the few remaining "over the air viewers" to Satellite or Cable. This is a different world than the FCC was born into and if not for the religious right the plug would have been pulled on this dying agency years ago.An apology was quickly issued for the "Morally Perfect" that were offended so it should end there. Why persecute someone who has hurt no one for such stupidness? If her accidental curse destroyed the moral fabric of your life so completly then just don't watch her show anymore. If that is the case then you have some bigger issues of your own to deal with.

i love sue. she's the best in the business, and that's why she's been at wnbc for the better part of 3 decades. i'm confident that it was not her fault, and someone elses error. i truly hope that she will not be held responsible for someone elses action. dave lettermen agrees as well.***sue, we love ya***

I was taping a show and I could not believe my ears I am sure they set her up and it is hilarious Now they have a easy way of getting rid of her. I wonder if she is really hard to work with and they are just sick of her also' lways thought there was a time delay. Come on how could she think it was a rehearsal.

What a bunch of hypocrites. I will picket NBC along with thousands of others if she gets fired. I wonder how many of the 'executives' do much more than just using the f word-ALL OF THEM?. Cheat on their wives, their taxes, voted for Bush? I'll bet the Republican Conservatives are behind this-the tap tap guys in the stalls. We love you Sue (and Chuck)! And, the F curse is a great word, very descriptive, stress reliever.

Everytime I watch the news on NBC (which isn't often), I could bet my last dollar that she, Simmons, will flub at least one word in a sentence. Very annoying to listen to. Almost as bad as Danielle Campbell on News12 LI, who can't seem to manage clear pronunciation (out of the side of her mouth I might add), either. Like Simmons she flubs at least one word in every sentence.Hmmmm, makes me wonder how they are still employed as news anchors. Campbell can't even pronounce the names of the towns on LI. And she lives here!!!!!LOL

What's the big bleepin deal? Out of the mouths of babes, sh*t happens. This would be a damn shame if simmons gets the boot. She's been a true professional & sweetheart over the past 28 years. Others have done a lot worse. Like on Scrabble when host Chuck Woolery said recrapping instead of recapping the scores on a 1984 episode or Joe Garagiola when during a taping on the 70's version of Sale of the Century, a commercial for Nonesuch Mincemeat, he said Newark NJ instead of Newark NY, Garagiola blurted out Jesus Christ I'm sorry goddammit, we have to run through it again, & it was on live TV when Joe thought it was off air. Headlines went like this Joe "Blue" the commercial, & catcher foul on TV. Hope Saucy Susan can come out of this dilemma smelling like a rose.

Simmons is sixty-five and in the TV news biz, that is dinosaur country. Although there have been and are a few "venerables" who last beyond their best photogenic years Sue Simmons ain't one of them. It's time to put her out to the retired news reader pasture.

not to worry here-she is guaranteed untouchable, what with her tripleleheader status protection, ie F/B/G-unlike a M/W/S who would be canned (can I use that word?) in a heartbeat

If she gets fired for saying p huck-then I would suggest P hucks News (you know the one, Fair and Balanced) with Bill-0 go off the air. They p-huck everyone with their lies.

Those are just the little blonde girls doin' their thing (with Carol Silva who's older, more mature and better at it).

Nobody's going to touch the light-skinned, affirmative-action, token-black Sue Simmons.
