Hmmm.

How do people live in the desert without water?

I'm sure there are several historic references.

Drill. Dam. Conserve. Move. Or Die.

stop watering lawns that shouldn't have been planted in the first place.

Stop planting non-native water gulping species

The minnow shows how we are deliborately destroying our rivers. Trash slobs will be the first to cry that something be done when no longer have clean water to drink. Most of it went to the front and back yard.

Drought is caused by lack of rain. Aquifers and rivers etc. don't get the run-off. Demand outstrips supply etc..

MmmHmm, and people are to blame for all of this. Extinction is a natural process, you should try it.

Grass is part of the ecosystem here (not in OK), as are trees and shrubs. All require water to grow, so I make sure mine get what they need, which also keeps my water bill down and the water authorities revenues up. Nothing like kicking back under the shade tree, watering the lawn, shrubs and garden and reading a book w/ a tall glass of unsweetened iced tea. Sometimes I even wet the tree real well so as the breeze comes thru the branches it acts like a giant swamp cooler. I used to kick it with our 18x36 pool but finally turned it into a garden when it became more work than I cared to do. I used to float on my air mattress w/ a hat & shades and a wine cooler hiding in the shade under the diving board while reading a good book and enjoying the fruits of my labor. Life is good! Oh, and you are NOT entitled to that lifestyle unless you work and earn it you deadbeat sponge.

Similar weather in old country.

More rain.

No minnows. Perhaps extinct already?

Wishful thinking perhaps, but not if the Feds and the eco terrorists have their way. That stinking little sardine, aka Spotted Owl food is more important than people are to those idi0ts. Too little common sense. They claim to be interested in protecting life, but human life takes a back seat when one is pitted against the other with respect to water and other forms of habitat. If we can co-exist, great, we should try. But not at the expense of human life.

I wonder how those little sardines would do as fertilizer in a green chili field in Hatch<G>?

It's only going to get worst! These people having all these babies are setting them up for mass faming in the future. You think water is short now, wait for 10 years from now. All these kids you are creating will suffer.

in five years, we'll all be complaining about flooding and how many people are cramming at the beach at the lake. A couple of active volcanos will certainly cause a(nother) major shift in weather patterns.

All the rain along the Mississippi?
