Hispanic groups say New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez should yield on driver's licenses

A handful of Latino organizations on Friday called on Gov. Susana Martinez to drop her attempt to repeal a controversial driver's license law, but she said she will not relent.

the word is deny deny them of anything you know these scum buckets drive without licence insurance or anything they need to pull over every car all over the u.s. and check their status to make sure they have licence and insurance maybe more roadblocks and licence check points if you have licence and insurance that is valid you should have no problem being checked when im riding i check vehicles out if i see a vehicle with to many i notify authorities and tell them the tag number color of vehicle and where they are at and which way they are headed you know it may sound wrong but we have law3s to follow and to many in a vehicle is breaking the law most states have seatbelt laws and they check the id and status of all people in vehicle

The point is this, they don't want Driver Licenses they only want to live under this Country's radar, steal as much as they can, send home to Mexico every cent they steal, and a Driver's License is a form of ID, whether it's stolen ID's they have used to get a license, they would be foolish to leave any kind of trail. Honest to God, don't you people know them. Any thing that impedes there fraudulent live styles will keep them away from any DMV...But keep up the good work Susan Martinez.

We need to start with susana martinez....she is first gen immigrant herself....she got hers now she doesnt want anyone else to do the same....and you are totally right ....we need to send everybody back across the ocean that came here and their ancestors werent from here at least for the last five hundred years....send them all back to england...ireland...scotland.. .wherever they came from....and only the ones who are indigineous or have some native blood can stay.....that way we wont be wasting our taxes ....

She doesn't have to "yield" to a bunch of illegals. She represents the legal citizens of her state, and if allowing licenses to illegals is not in their best interests, she's doing the job she was elected to do...looking out for her legal constituents.

Sad thing is ,,, she won the election thru the support of mexican voters thinking she would roll over for them, they thought that she would give them a free ride. She is a great Governor, but I doubt she will when another term because the mexicans in this state are just wanting something for nothing.

NM and WA drivers licenses as of Jan 1 2013 will NOT be recognized under the federal ID act that goes into effect. In order to travel by air if you don't have an ID that conforms, you will have to travel INSIDE your own country with a passport like you are from a different country. Well most of the country sees no distinction with mexico and NEW Mexico anyway.
