My question is:
Why do voters keep electing members of the same two parties when they know that those same party goons are completely responsible for the shape our nation is in?
Now that defies logic.
Because the alternatives always turn out to be some sort of fringe whack job selling some sort of alternative reality. In other words we choose corruption over insanity at every chance.

What about Dick Mastin instead of nora Espinoza? He seems honest and intelligent. LOTS of R's in Roswell will support him. How about in Lincoln Co.?

Obviously you know NOTHING about Dick Mastin. He is a far left democrat that has never met a government program he doesn't endorse. He is all for the NDAA, the Patriot act, Obamacare and the redistribution of YOUR money. His letters to the editor are so ultra liberal that at first one might think them to be satirical, but then you realize that he is serious.
I know that Nora is focused on education, at least she is grounded fiscally (and mentally).

is sad is your nonsensical clichéd commentary. He sounds he might be halfway sane for a modern Republican - which is saying a lot.

Had to laugh out loud at Mr. Mastin's position on "empowering" women to take up their "role in elected positions" by voting for HIM, a MALE, a WHITE MALE.

Perhaps he has committed to a sex change as part of his ultra-liberal platform. Or perhaps he thinks his constituents are gender-neutral FaceBook people so is actually running as a MAN as a WOMYN who is a MAN but a MAN who really really wants to empower WOMYN.

Vote NO.

------

Dick Mastin, a Lincoln County resident. Mastin said that half of the country are female and more then half are now attending colleges. Mastin emphasized the importance of women being empowered to take up their role in elected positions alongside and equal with men.

"We need our women to realize their full potential and full intelligence," Mastin said, adding that a country will never reach its potential when women do not have equal opportunity to fully realize their own potential.

Mastin's focus, pulling from his experience, is on education.

Do any WOMYN find Mastin's desire for WOMYN to "realize their full intelligence" somewhat deMENing?(Demeaning.)

I do.

An education and the hard work associated with being educated is NOT an admired trait in Lincoln County. Perhaps that is why are schools are not a priority. Our leaders just like to lie about their educations.

Huh? "Schools are not a priority"?! In what way? My property tax bill does not agree with your assessment.

Back to Florida They claim that Bush beat Gore by 527 votes .I simply feel that the election was stolen by the GOP because they had control of the system . I further think that Jeb Bush will never run for office again because of the lingering doubts regarding that election. Just the fact that all those Jews voted for the wrong guy by mistake is enough for me. Gore also made a mistake by not demanding a new election.
A candidate cannot simply demand a new election.
In your mention of Jews voting for the wrong guy, you are refrrring to Pat Buchanan, a radical right winger. Even Buchanan laughed when he heard the ludicrous result. The problem was caused mainly by the layout of the ballot. Normally the candidates from the two major parties are listed at the top. In this case, Buchanan was listed second afetr George W. Bush, with Al Gore listed further down the list.

People expected that the second listed candidate would be the democrat, and ended up voting for Buchanan. Personally I believe the weird layout of the ballot was no accident.

Yes, the ballot was no accident...and the fact that people can't READ and are TOO STUPID TO VOTE.

Your high property taxes are due to the fact that our government will be buying new water meters for everyone (not fixing our water pipes as advertised). If the schools were a high priority, we would not be one of only seven school districts in the entire state that recieved a D rating this year. I guess the consulation is that no school districts in the state were given an F rating. And none of the other "D" districts were within communities that want to be known as a "Little Aspen" either ( http://www.greatschools.org/colorado/aspen/67... ). If education was a priority for the community, it would be promoted by our government leaders, in both their actions and words. Kids would not be allowed to sit and smell sewer for years on end.

I looked at the photos of the ballot and it was not set up in a logical way. the stupidity was who ever approved it in the first place. You don`t expect Old Jewish people to vote for a Nazi leaning person on purpose do you ?

We ask for too much intelligence from our voting population. The Florida ballot was exceptionally difficult to understand because it required (a) reading comprehension, and (b) punching the hole next to the arrow.

It is no wonder that Democrats require the Federal Government to care for them. They cannot handle responsibility, nor freedom.

Back to Mr. Mastin:

Decide if you need him to care for you. He will raise your taxes, and throw away your money at every progressive liberal idea. And all in the name of "helping" to empower WOMYN to seek elected office and to achieve their full intelligence. This is his platform in a nutshell.

A Republican would have been skewered for saying the same things he said. But he is a WHITE MALE Progressive Democrat and cares for all WOMYN so it is OK.

Do you happen to get your news from ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, NPR, PBS, New York Times, LA Times,...? I thought so.
