NM coyote hunt to continue; promoter pledges to salvage pelts for fur clothing

The promoter of a coyote hunt this weekend says he will hire a taxidermist to salvage the pelts and hides, his answer to critics who called the event blood sport.

It seems that Gunhawk Fire-Arms is more concerned with making $ than regard for "public safety" or killing coyotes. So far they have made an easy $5k off 100 people on entry fees alone -- not to mention ammunition and other equipment sold in their shop.
This event seems illegal and unsafe without permitting, proper supervision, and notification of hunting areas to the public. Why is that when you serve food at public event you need a permit but you can shoot guns in public areas without one?
It is my understanding that shooting on private lands also includes notifying neighbors for their safety. As with other public events...Will emergency vehicles be on hand for First Aid?
How will the dead bodies be disposed of as not to cause a health hazard to the public?
The public needs to be notified of where this "secretive" hunt is to take place for the safety of their familes.

these hunts have been going on for years the only difference is the media got wind of this one. i remember when i could pay my bills with coyote hides. My only wonder is why arent we waiting for colder weather for the hides to be in better shape .

I heard that they taste really good with slowly roasted Garlic in a large vat. But dont use butter when you cook them it ruins the taste of the meat.
