I still say this should not be done on a county-by-county basis, but rather legalized either by the legislature or a state judge.

And now it is up to 8 counties after the judge ordered the Los Alamos clerk to issue licenses after the hearing today.

8 down, 23 to go.

I lived in Albuquerque for awhile and loved the city, but it was a LOT colder and snowier than I ever expected.

I didn't leave the cold and snow of New York to live in the cold and snow of New Mexico.

The final straw was when I was walking in about 2 inches of snow, carrying something heavy on my shoulder for someone, and slipped in the snow, fell, and broke my leg.(10 days later I went to the hospital to have it looked at, and wound up in a cast on my leg for 7 weeks).

After that, I said: "I'm outta here !", and I moved here to HOT southern Arizona. At LEAST where I live, we are not affected by the monsoons and haboobs which seem to be prevalent just a little bit further north of here. I'm surrounded by farmland here with hills and low mountains on the horizon.
