The horror of Ft. Hood is well publicised (sp). We all had a lump in our throats as we watched it unfold.
What do you feel should be done with Hassan? Do you think this was a terrorist attack or a man who just lost it? Sound off! |

Just my thoughts, but I think he just lost it. From what I read and heard, he was about to be deployed, I think for the 1st time, and couldn't handle that. Of course it all depends what channel/news you were listening too, many varied with the stories about the incident.
If you can't handle certain situations, then I say just shoot yourself if you must. Why take all these other people down with you ? Some reports said he was called a "camel jock", which if I was him, would find offensive and hurtful. Maybe no one will ever know what triggered all of this, perhaps it may come out later if he speaks up, but he should be punished to the fullest extent the law allows, whether he lost it or not. I'm not making excuses for him, he should receive the stiffest penalties for his act, but unless you're inside his head, we don't know for sure what was going on, maybe we never will. I had a lump in my throat as I watched all this unfold because I have family on that base. Lucky for me they were home safe and sound when I phoned to check on them. Not so lucky were the people caught in the line of fire and my heart goes out to the families left behind, but glad I wasn't one of them. I maybe opening a can of worms with this statement, but I see this war like I did the war with Vietnam, getting to be a useless battle, almost a no win situation. I think for every one we kill over there, 100's, maybe 1,000's are waiting their turn for 5 min. of fame and glory in the name of Allah, and to die for their cause. To us we may feel they have a weird way of thinking, to them it's an honor, and there's so many of them this is going to go on and on and on. I always felt we should retaliate for the 9/11 act, but it's almost getting to be a lost cause, seeing no end to this, and enough is enough. With the problems we have in this country, and on our borders, I'm beginning to think we need our military back on our soil to protect us right here. I'm sure plenty of you may disagree, and it's only lately that I've started feeling this way, well before this Ft. Hood incident. I think what also concerns me is "copy cat" incidents now, let's hope no one else goes off the deep end. |

I see where you are coming from. I want to believe that Hassan just lost it, but I will hold my judgement.

I'm not sure if you agree on most things I said, but it seems that some of us may think he just lost it. If he didn't, then I think we're in for a lot of trouble since he's not the only one with his ethnic background in this country. I just hope the truth comes out and very soon. It's not looking too good the way this country's going. If you think illegals from other countries are a problem, coming here just for a better life for the most part, it makes one wonder how many people from the Middle East are here for a different reason, although I'm sure not all have bad things on their minds, but the situation may be getting more tense as time goes on. Like I said, I just hope no "copy cat" situations arise.
Thank you for not biting my head off for my other thoughts. I really don't mean to come off sounding un-patriotic, it's just my own thoughts and feelings lately. |

1 On September 11, 2001, some would say this country was attacked by its own military apparatus. Many questions pervade this topic. Example: why was the man who wired Atta, the lead attacker, eating breakfast with White House officials on the morning of September 11, 2001? The 9/11 commission wilfully neglected this fact; along with the entire WTC 7 collapse. You think you know what a terrorist looks like? Wow, you ARE scientific aren't you. You are a reader I bet. Before one of you geniuses says the term "conspiracy theory", please know there are no theories involved here. These are documented facts. Your country is gone because its citizens are no longer able to think for themselves. It's a four letter word called "Doom". Enjoy. |

Why bite your head off? I asked for opinions. I also dont like the way this country is going. Seems poloticians dont give a rip about the nose dive America is in. I do believe there will be a lot of back lash in Muslim communities by some. Just like there was after 9-11. It is still hard for me to see one and not "stare" I know it wasnt them who did it, but cant help but to think what are they planning on doing. |

1 In the name of God, Security, Oil, and Money they have sewn soils around the world with the blood of their brothers because they are "God's chosen people". What God could this be? Perhaps you worship Jesus of Nazareth, and play make believe on Sunday, but actually serve (to use your own mythology) thy true master: Satan? Yeah, according to you Jesus would pick up an M16, yell Hoooraah, and lead the attack in your terroristic war on terror. What you give is what you get. |

I've been listening to different channels/news over the last couple of days, and it's sort of hard to figure out who's telling the truth, or what the truth is. I said before that I thought Husan had just lost it, now I'm not sure.
I'm hearing who Husan made contact with over a period of time, who he knows, well in advance of this Ft. Hood incident, and I'm trying to make sense of some of this news. Red flags went up some time ago, and people that counted just didn't seem to pay attention. This sounds so familiar, just like it was when Al Gore questioned Oliver North, who was trying to tell us about Bin Laden, and not many, if any, paid attention to his warnings/red flags. Seems this has happened more than once or twice where the Middle East was concerned. Again, we seemed to have missed some "red flags" where Husan is concerned, so now I'm re-thinking my position on whether he just lost it or not. |

1 Senators call on Coburn to lift his hold on veterans benefits bill. "Earlier this month, it was revealed that Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) has placed a hold on a major veterans benefits bill.... Democratic Senators are calling on Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) to lift his hold on a veterans’ health bill that Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) hopes to clear before the chamber adjourns this week for a three-day recess. Sens. 1 I have heard on both CNN and Fox that Hassan has been on the "radar" for approximately 6 months for "terrorist" e-mails he had recieved and sent. The red flags were there, who knows why action wasnt taken. We the people will probably never know the truth about it. Some parts leaked will be truth some will be to lead away for certian truths. Whats sad is the more they try to lead away the more guilty things will look. Like I have mentioned I hope something snapped and he just lost it, but deep down I am beginning to feel that it was a planned attack. Here are a few reasons. One he gave away many of his personal belongings. Yes he was about to deploy but why would you get rid of your bed and other personal item needed for the feww weeks before you left and the morning the attack happens. Second the "red flags" if they were there like most reports say. Why was nothing done? At the very least questioning Hassan. Third. The way it went down, Reports say he yelled that phrase, it excapes me now, and starting shooting. Witnessess say he was very calm and collected, methodical, showing little emotion. I may be wrong but working with mentally insane criminals, there is not much methodical and collected about them. Even there crimes were very erratic, like they didnt have any idea what they were doing. Thats how I am looking at it. Yes I do look at it with a grain of salt, as none of us are sure just what to hold as truth or toss aside as a smoke screen. |
