Once again we see our legislators taking money from the taxpayers and giving it to people that aren't even allowed to be here!!! Hang everyone who voted for this treason!

This bill should only be reinstated if it excludes illegal aliens. It is ridiculous to force the taxpayers of this country to pay even one red cent towards illegal aliens.

They say reinstating the bill will cost $2.6 million per year and that illegal aliens accounted for approximately half of the people taking advantage of the benefits. Therefore, eliminating illegal aliens from this bill would cut the cost of reinstating it in half.

Illegal aliens deserve absolutely nothing at the expense of the taxpayers of this country. Let them get their care in their own countries.

Texas has proven that Illegals cost the state 300-400% MORE than they pay in taxes. Obviously, this can't continue forever, as the Dems believe.

Denying necessary medical care to another human being is contrary to everything this Christian nation has ever represented. Immersion into a National Socialist concept of depriving charity and help to needy immigrants welcomes the policies we've seen in Europe leading to WWII. A human being is a human being. All deserve our compassion without mandating social engineering policies, but simply requiring current systems to never escape their responsibility to all.

Do you know how many citizens go without prenatal care because they cannot afford it and do not qualify for any help?

Illegal aliens do not belong here. The only *help* they deserve is a ride back to their home country where they can get their prenatal care there -- or not, as they choose. They do not, however, have ANY right to prenatal care at the U.S. taxpayers' expense.

When EVERY citizen has access to prenatal care,*if* there is any money left over, we'll consider the illegal alien interlopers. Until then, no dice.

How about you offer to pay for it out of your own pocket? I mean, if it's so necessary and you feel so badly for them, offer to "adopt" a few pregnant illegal aliens and take care of their expenses. Until you do, STFU.

Since you don't live in NE, however, I do shut up! I've had a belly full of illegals, period! 5, 10, 12 kids all on Food Stamps, living in HUD housing, free school breakfasts, lunches, dinners and backpacks full of "nutritional snacks and food every weekend, free health care, eye care.......enough of this KRAP!

These illegal aliens should get nothing.

The lawmakers should start thinking about who voted them in. It sure wasn't illegal aliens, unless they were voting illegally.

It's time to clean house all around and only keep those who actually think about the citizens of this country.

Agreed, that illegal aliens don't belong here. That does not sustain an argument for denying necessary medical care for any human being in the US. We won't get rid of illegals by denying them medical aid; we'll get rid of them by shipping them back to their countries of origin, pregnant, or not. We also need to amend the 14th Amendment allowing anchor-baby status. Feeling compassion for the needy is not feeling badly for them. Most women don't even need prenatal care; they've just been hoodwinked into believing they do, so a drug culture can push more drugs. Mandating they have it against their free will is tyranny.

Won't Obama Care cover the illegal immigrant prenatal care issue?

Oh wait, the Obama Care health insurance mandate doesn't apply to illegal immigrants.

Oh well, it sure is nice to once again see lawmakers going out of their way to spend money on illegal immigrants.

I wonder if these lawmakers will ever find a reason to actually help legal US citizens rather than just finding ways to spend their taxes on any and everything but them.

Let's hope that Nebraskans remember this during the next elections.

As for the "needy" (illegal) immigrants nonsense, illegal immigrants need to go back home regardless of whether they're "needy" or not.

Ya, We'll all be sure to give out that line of baloney the next time we need medical care...

Meanwhile, could you contact Obama and convince him of adapting your pipe dream health care policy? Those of us who must pay for our health care would sure appreciate it if you could sell him the "responsibility for all" line of baloney you're peddling in here.

When immature dopers and former dopers formulate health care laws designed to continue and expand the Socialist enslavement of Americans, they always overstep the bounds of reason. Current health care can be improved in the many ways being discussed without forcing millions of people not needing health care to subsidize others, or have something they don't need. Because so many Democrats have been hoodwinked into believing they need constant drug maintenance (with every contraindication demanding they have another drug), we have their characters to consider... weak, projecting their own selfish arrogance into controlling others. Currently and previously, no American is denied necessary health care through various programs, private and public. Changing a good system into one discouraging charity, etc. except through a managed program designed to displace human kindness with long waiting lines, reduction in the number of doctors and setting the drawbacks of our current medical systems in stone, managed by bureaucrats, is anathema to the individual. Nebraska, or any State repealing overly restrictive laws impacting human beings is wise. Yes, deport illegal aliens and repeal the anchor-baby aspect of the 14th. Further diminish the very character of America by depriving necessary medical care... No.

Sorry, but just because you can, and do, breed children here in the US (that you can't or won't care for) should not give illegal immigrants a free pass on health care services (or any other public assistance benefits for that matter).

Illegal immigrants should be forced to pay the exact same health care costs and fees that so many of us legal citizens are forced to pay.

My wife and I made the responsible decision to not have more than 2 children, which is in line with the approximate 2.5 birthrate average for legal US citizens. Illegal immigrants, on the other hand, have birthrates that are as high as 5 or more.

We based this decision on our ability, or inability, to pay the costs of providing the food, clothing, housing, daycare, and health care for what we bring into world.

We've been hearing this "it's for the children" excuse for far too long. What about the children we couldn't have? Doe any of you care about them?

This entire "breeding for dollars and benefits" thing is doing little but to turn this country towards a broken 3rd world status.

Stop and think about it...illegal immigrants are breeding as means of obtaining a multitude of public assistance benefits that include section 8 housing, cash, food stamp cards, no or low cost energy and daycare, and no cost (to them) health care.

Besides, the majority of these illegal immigrants made the conscious decision of "depraving" their future children of the "necessary medical care" when they entered this country illegally. I'll also remind you that the countries of origin of most illegal immigrants offer very low, or no, cost health care "to all of their citizens). Also please keep in mind that most of these foreign countries can, in part, afford to offer low or no cost HC because they neither tolerate nor promote illegal immigration with a laundry list of free benefits.

Proof of this can be seen in the fact that US health care costs weren't even in the top 5 (let alone the top 8-10) main concerns of legal citizens before the 1986 illegal immigrant amnesty bill was passed.

Many Americans *are* denied healthcare if they do not have insurance but also make too much to qualify for any help. The only thing they are not denied is emergency care and, even then, they are billed and will have a lien against anything they own and/or a judgment for the amount owed. Only illegal aliens don't have that.

We do not owe illegal aliens anything. They do not belong here, so why would we owe them any sort of healthcare? Prenatal care is NOT a necessity, it is NOT emergency care. If they show up needing prenatal care, ship them home for it, after making sure it's not an emergency, and then bill their mother country for the unnecessary visit. Period.

What kind of "kindness" is providing to foreigners that which we do not provide to citizens? And, yet, that's exactly what we do.

Illegal aliens should be given nothing but a ride home. And, in my opinion, we don't even owe them that. Let them find their own way home and deny them anything and everything while they are here looking for their ride home. If they got here on their own, they certainly can go back on their own, or their country can pay for their ride home. In the meantime, no renting, no utilities, no benefits, no healthcare, no anything. Period. If they don't like it, they shouldn't come here. We owe illegal aliens exactly NOTHING. They sneaked in here and stole while here. We don't owe thieves a damn thing. They should be glad we don't put them in prison. If the worst we do is force them to take their sorry, thieving arses home, they should be happy.

No prenatal care for illegal aliens! If they need *emergency* care, stabilize them and ship them home. Period. Then bill their own countries for the costs.

This is yet another outrage against the taxpayers in Nebraska! I owe an illegal zero, period! If mommy is an illegal, so is her child within. If these idiots in the Unicameral pass this, we'll be the ONLY state in the Midwest paying for prenatal care! I've personally had a belly full of advocates taking our state over on behalf of people who have no business being it it!

No matter which name you are posting under at any given moment you are still incoherent. The guff about food stamps and HUD housing has been debunked so many times it is not worth wasting time on, but 12 kids? How asinine. The average Hispanic family in the US has 1.8 children.

I'm sure you will get on your high horse now and take umbrage that anybody suggested you singled out Hispanics. Fine. The average American family overall has 1.2 children.

For every family with the mythical 12 kids there would be many families with no kids. Zero.

Here is some suggested reading for you: What's the Matter with Kansas? by Thomas Frank. It shows how decent hard working people are taken advantage of and manipulated into voting against their own best interests. This is done by making people forget their jobs were shipped over seas and that their wages have stagnated over the past thirty years. As long as they can convince people that landscapers and bus boys are their biggest problem than they can get away with anything.
