At least he made one good decision. He's been pushing his right wing, anti-gay, holier than thou message long enough, yet he's not hateful. typical right wing idiot. Hate & fear, the GOP needs yours!

A black man wanting to prevent another minority from being protected under the law. Sad, sad, sad.

I wish more bigots would follow his lead and just keep their darn mouths shut rather that spout their hatred about an issue that will not affect them one iota.

But he DIDN'T keep his mouth shut. The article says, "Ron Brown SAID [EMPHASIS ADDED] he opposes a proposed Lincoln ordinance to protect gay and transgender people from discrimination,"

By speaking out, he might lose his job if the campus has a different policy. Sad.

Yeah...But he was Mouthing Off last week about how it would be an "Honor" for him to be fired because he doesn't anti-discrimination policies. Apparently he's too much of a coward to stand up as he claimed and accept that "Honor".

So he chose dishonor and a continued paycheck.

If he had seen it through to the honor of being fired for being a homophobic bigot he surely could have landed a coaching job at Bob Jones University [sic] or some place like that...though he wouldn't be allowed to date or marry a white woman while in employ there....

The Jim Jones Memorial Christian University certainly does.

I recommend against the communion wine at Sunday Services, though.

Couldn't be a Martyr thing, for that to apply you have to be Martyred and he wasn't.
Not to mention I find a large difference in being killed and being fired but that's another argument...

Which would make everyone martyrs in their own way for various reasons. From where I sit, only people that are actually KILLED are martyrs.

Well, not necesserily. For instance, suppose someone is imprisoned BECAUSE OF their Christian beliefs (this happens in Muslim couuntries), refuses to renounce those Christain beliefs, and remains in prison because of that for a very long time. Isn't that being a martyr ?
