no the price hasnt effected anything like that yet, however, it will for next year. Our company is already putting the brakes on our exploration for next year because of the credit crises. I wouldnt sell these mineral rights unless you are desperate for money.

Don't question Mc Cains judgment, question Obamas honesty. Too many websites are closed down when sites are referred to .... to cover his tracks ... very suspicious.
Why is Obamas GRANDMOTHER LIVING IN SUCH ABJECT POVERTY ... if Obama is the hero he tries to portray?
A few of his American dollars would have built a better shack for her.
OBAMA ... CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME .... SHAME ON YOU and you expect to stay in the white house. Vote for Mc Cain and be safe.
get out of here right wing hack.....

I got a lease from Dakota Salts,Llc. Have you ever heard of this company. Any new wells in Burke Co.?
I have minerals in Burke Co and I received a similar letter from the same company, Dakota Salts wanting to a mineral lease specific to salt. I've attempted to do some research, but I haven't been able to find anything.
Any info anyone has about this would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have any local rumors about what's going on with Merton?

We are looking for some friendly advice. My siblings and I each inherited 30.57 net mineral acres in Roosevelt County, Montana. Empire Oil company has offered us Oil and Gas lease on the property. Looking for advice on whether the offer is good and whether Empire is trustworthy.

The offer was $60 per net mineral acre and 15% royalty for 5 year term. From what I have read on this message board the $60 per acre seemed low, the royalty was in line, but the 5 years was too long.

The location is Township 29 North, Range 55 East and is part of the "Greater Froid" project.

Joel, I see you're getting no answers.

Since this thread topic is McKenzie County in North Dakota, we probably don't have a lot of Montana folks reading here.

The activity level is so low that I often wonder if anybody at all is reading here.

You should do some Googling to see if you can find a forum more suited to your question.

Interesting stuff: My brother and I have interest in Mineral acres in Dunn and McKenzie.
Dunn: 148N, 95W, pieces of Sec 4-7,9, 17-19, 28-31, 33 and 148N, 96W, pieces of Sec 1,12,13,23-26. In McKenzie County 14N,5W, pieces of Sec 25,26,33,34,35.
Just got copy of fathers will from 59. Is anyone familiar with what is going on there? Any help or advise would be appreciated.

And 100's of postings you can read. You will be able to gain info on Dunn and McKenzie co's along with the rest of the play. Ron

Thanks: Checked that blog out and there was nothing new on Dunn COunty..checked the maps at the dmr site and bored down into section maps, just some sporadic old holes nearby and a few producers within a mile or so. I have to get a little smarter on this stuff apparently. No activity near the sections/parcelsadjacent to the reservation lands. Again, thanks for the referal.

i would think about taking that right now...being oil is only $60 per bbl the money for the big leasing is over. Besides your not getting rich on 30 acres. Take it and buy a new car with the money.
