What else can you expect out of these wack-o-loon liberal tree huggers?
Liberals are hellbent on destroying the economy and have no intention of relieving our dependence on foreign oil or providing jobs to millions of out of work Americans.
How much more obvious does it have to get for the brain dead who keep voting for these un-American socialist?

President Barack Obama left on a nine-day trip Friday just as the deficit-cutting supercommittee stumbles into its critical final phase and lawmakers race to avert a government shutdown.

And neither Congress nor the White House really seems to care about his absence.?????

And here I thought the Obama's mantra was "we can't wait".

I should have known better. 2 years ago the left's mantra was "paygo". Look how well THAT worked out.

Here is a golden opportunity for Obama to...
1. Create thousands of jobs
2. Keep the price of gas stable
3. Stick it to OPEC
4. Boost his poll numbers

And he doesn't jump all over it!

I am now totally convinced that Obama is purposely ruining the American economy. I just don't know if it's by his design, or George Soros's design.

Right. We should hire millions of Americans to cut down all our trees for fuel to heat our homes while we're at it. It would create millions more jobs in healthcare as well to treat all the emphysema and asthma cases from the pollution.

Or we could hire millions of Americans to hunt whales or club baby seals for their blubber which could replace foreign oil.

Or we could hire millions of Americans to trap & kill bald eagles, then pluck their feathers to use in place of air conditioning in the summer.

Or we could ban cars and hire millions of Americans reviving the horse & buggy industry. Think of all the foreign oil that would save.

That's what i thought, you have no intention of getting us off foreign oil, but then gripe why we are involved in war after war in the middle east.
Here is a good example of getting us out of the middle east a little by getting a good supply from Canada and you liberals don't want that either. I would much rather send a few greenbacks to Canada than to terroristic regimes over there.
I guess when the Canadians get tired of playing games with the idiots in Washington they can sell it to China.

What your suggestion? Another Solyndra?

Refine the oil IN CANADA!

There is no reason to pipe it across America.

The EPA has got to go, hopefully to china!! Please take your friend, our sick president with you. He seems to love those people. Why is it so darn hard for some people to see we need this pipe line, oh don't tell me it will destroy any aquifers, that is bull!! Go away EPA and take our lame duck president and all of congress with you, none of you are welcome here in the USA. What is the matter with the idiots that can't see this pipe line will create lots of jobs!!

The oil will come here via pipeline or truck, if we are lucky, if not Canada may ship it to China.
It would be much better to refine it here, and create thousands of jobs for Americans and then truck it from the refineries here.
What's the excuse for not refining it here? Enviromental? Well we live on a ball so it really isn''t going to make a difference where it is refined at other than who gets the jobs.
I think liberals are just deadset against anything that is good for the United States, they would much rather the Chinese have it.

Obviously you've never lived near an oil refinery, but at least you admit the toxic effects of refining oil is a global problem as well as a local problem.

And your last statement is just another moronic attempt at trying to paint those of us who care about the environment as being anti-American. Not everything is worth it just because it might create jobs. I'd much rather create jobs developing renewable energy instead of letting China get all the business.

Ironically Canada's largest solar panel manufacturer CSIQ is located in...... wait for it......... CHINA. And they are profitable too, employing 8700 Chinese workers instead of Canadians. In fact nearly all solar panel manufacturers are located in China because........ wait for it....... the Chinese govt supports renewable energy manufacturing. And almost all of them are profitable.

We operate 5 trucks pulling pneumatic tankers hauling catalyst to refineries and spent catalyst from refineries, we also do quite a bit of work for gas wells and oil well sites, we are very familiar with refineries and like i said, we live on a ball, if it isn't done here, it will be done somewhere else.
I would prefer Americans get the good jobs if they are available.

Here, wait for your brain to catch up.
The Chinese are attracting businesses from all fields because........ wait for it.........they are manipulating thier currency, they are also not crippling themselves with tons of regulations, they are also not alllowing themselves to get tied up in thier courts blocking progress with non=stop silliness, nor do they have to deal with unions, lawsuits, The Sierra Club and a host of other crap we do here.
The Chinese also do not pay thier workers what we pay ours coupled with the aforementioned so it's easy to see why they are getting the manufacturing jobs.
Remember the great and costly Solyndra disaster? Well if i remember correctly that was the excuse of thier failure by liberals and liberal politicians that the Chinese were out competing us, i wonder why.
oh and one other point, Obama and company said the reason they worked so hard "with US tax dollars" for Solyndra was to give Americans jobs producing the the solar panels here, i guess Solyndra would have been profitable if we would have followed Canada's lead with CSIQ and sent the jobs to China.
Folks, this way of thinking is exactly why we don't build anything anymore and the chinese do.
Liberalism at it's finest.

Local effects of pollution are always more concentrated than global effects. The farther away from the source the less damaging it is.

There are "good jobs" in the manufacture of solar panels too, but unfortunately our country has decided China can have all those jobs instead.

Some jobs simply aren't worth having, especially when there are other alternatives.

Good, because hundreds of Solyndra's ex-employees are looking for jobs.

Then you'd have to poipe all the different products across the US. Gas, Deisle, kerosene, heating oil, etc etc.

I'm saying I'd rather WE have the clean technology jobs and THEY have the dirty oil jobs, instead of the other way around like it is now.

Why does our government continue to subsidize oil companies but you all freak out if they subsidize clean technology jobs?

Yes, Solyndra failed, but they're just one of thousands of clean technology companies, the majority of which ARE profitable and provide high paying jobs. Unfortunately because of the power of the oil lobbyists those jobs are mostly overseas.
