Why hasn't anyone asked Sen. Obama this question:
Did you go to Wright's church on the Sunday morning after 9/11/01? I have not heard, or read, this question in any interview or press conference with Sen. Obama since the Wright controversy began. It would seem to me to be the most logical question once he claimed not to have heard the sermons that were posted on YouTube. There is something else I have not seen investigated... Who first brought those sermons to light? A Clinton supporter? A Republican? A Journalist? If the last, what/who was his/her source? |

If you really want to know how Obama feels and views his world, read his book "The Audicity of Hope".

Obama stated "...he was not the man I met 20 years ago." What???
If that's the case - then why did he continue to attend his church for 20 years? You mean to tell me that in the greater Chicago area that's the only church? I find that particularly difficult to believe. You see, it's things like this that make me question Obama's trustworthiness. He can't have his cake and eat it, to. It is clear he attended that church for one reason and one reason only, to get into the political game in the Chicago area. And if that is the reason - just say it. I'm tired of the games, of the lies, of the rherotic and the BS! It has become so insulting that the thought of any of these candidates makes me sick. Obama is simply incapable of being honest about who he is and what he stands for. That has nothing to do with race...and everything to do with character. And his character is porous and shallow, at best. |

Oh, get over it, Sun. It's not your place to tell the voters of North Carolina and Indiana what is in their best interests. Just because Maryland's primary came in the midst of the political infatuation of "Obamamania," thankfully long over in the general public, doesn't mean that The Sun should be wistfully stuck back in those unthinking days of February and early March.
The bubble is irreparably burst. That doesn't mean that Senator Obama isn't an excellent candidate, or that he wouldn't make a great president. He is and would be both of those things. But the reality is that he IS just another politician. And what is this "just"? Since when did we elect people to office who weren't politicians? This isn't Ross Perot we are talking about here, it is "just another" politician who has served in the Illinois legislature and in the United States Senate. Oh, that's right, The Sun must still be thinking of him as some national savior, holy and idealistic and untouchable. Wake up! Snap out of it! This isn't some eighth-grade crush, it is the damn presidential election! Barak Obama is "just another politician." And a good one. And a good man. Worthy of people's votes. But he isn't Jesus Christ, or Buddha, or even the Dalai Lama. He's an extremely ambitious, somewhat self-serving, arrogant, and imperfect human beings, like most of us and like all politicians at a certain level. |

Rev. Wright has been preaching the same sermons for the last 20 years. Sen. Obama need not have bothered to denounce Rev. Wright. Instead, voters should be thinking about how Obama himself has changed and matured since choosing Wright as his pastor. If he has.
The editorial thus presents a narrative that is transparent nonsense to most online readers.(If you're puzzled by this statement, sample the fact-based accounts of journalists like Steve Sailer.) http://isteve.blogspot.com/search/label/Obama But this piece was written for subscribers to the *newsprint* edition, specifically for those who don't focus on politics. If you're only vaguely aware of the twists and turns of Obama's candidacy, why, the Sun's story makes about as much sense as any other. Journalism shouldn't be a game of three-card monte. Reporters should show more respect to their readers than con-artists show to their marks. |

Jeremiah Wright just didn't wake up the other day in the mind of a total psychotic. He's been expounding his rhetoric for years, and its a lie that Obama is promoting when he says "this is not the man I met 20 years ago". Believe what you want to believe, just don't try to manipulate the masses wih your deception! Neither Wright is acceptable, nor is Obama.

Right, a book he carefully crafted in preparation of his candicacy. You are easily fooled. |
|

You cannot have it both ways. And Mr. Obama cannot call Mr Wright his spiritual leader and then have us believe that he did not know the man.
I fear that you have fallen in love with the idea of a black man being president of this country and this has caused you to rationalize his every mistake. He may be the person you think he is but his relationship with Mr. Wright and his explanation of it cannot be dismissed so readily. I doubt you would be so forgiving of Mr. McCain or Mrs Clinton. |

Ok then explain this exact quote: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction." From The Audacity of Hope Try to worm your way out of that un-American statement and tell me how he will make a great Commander in Chief of The Armed Forces. What, do brave men run in his family? |

"We believe the candidate when he says with some emotion that his goal is to bring Americans together..."
Since Barry is the media pick, I'd be surprised if you didn't believe his back filling. "Yesterday, the candidate declared that his minister was "not the man I met 20 years ago." " Yet he was saying the same things he's said for 20 years. Amazing. "He said he was particularly angered by the minister's suggestion that he would say whatever he had to say to get elected." Barry is a politician. All politicians say what they think the voter wants to hear. Most politicians change their tune once safely in office. Obama hasn't shown anything in his brief career to indicate he's any different. 'What we heard from Mr. Obama reminded us of what powered his earlier speeches..." ...A slick, polished presentation. He's a very good public speaker...when he's on script. Take away the script, and his speech becomes more halting. "Now, the test he faces is whether blue-collar white Americans, whose economic and social frustrations he so eloquently empathized with in his speech on race in Philadelphia..." "...And what he really thinks about blue collar Americans, which slipped out in San Francisco. It's the same thing all elitist Democrats think. Hey, Sunpapers...is it not noteworthy that Barry seems to have all of the wrong friends...mostly terrorists and racists? |

I can only assume the folks at the Sun smoke a massive amount of crack before they write editorials. The only good news is that most of the rest of us really do see what is going on. I can't wait to see the super delegate/Howard Dean/DNC Convention meltdown that is coming up. Woo Hoo! What wonderful tv/radio it will make.

"I can't wait to see the super delegate/Howard Dean/DNC Convention meltdown that is coming up."
The popcorn is popping as we speak. Barry's damaged goods that only the loons at DU, KOS, or MoveOn will vote for...but Dems are either stuck with him, or kick him to the curb and annoint Hillary through the superdelegate bait and switch...then watch as the cities burn, as blacks somewhat rightly will feel robbed. If the other loons at Recreate 68 don't torch Denver first. I'll take more butter for my popcorn, please. |

It's sad. And, I ask why? That is, why should we care.
First, Free Speech - Rev. Wright can say whatever he wants. Second - Freedom of Association - Obama has the right to converse with anyone he wants. Third - lets move forward. Obama vision and plans for the future are more important than what happened in a church he belongs to. Me, I'm Catholic. And every Sunday, my priest calls upon me to be a better person in my life. Sometimes I succeed in the request. Sometime I don't. Again, the Right leaning Conservative party complains about political correctness; but isn't this what they are trying to do twisting Rev. Wright's words. But, again, let's move forward! We, as a people, a nation, need to come together and move this country forward in a direction where we are proud to be America and like in days long past other countries want to be like us. "First, Free Speech - Rev. Wright can say whatever he wants."
Absolutely. And I have the right to be insulted by it. Second - Freedom of Association - Obama has the right to converse with anyone he wants. Again, you're absolutely correct. But since Barry's resume is so thin, so devoid of any meaningful accomplishment, all we have left to evaluate him is the people he hangs with...the people who advise him. And when you're running for the presidency, what does it say about one's judgement to be consorting with an anti-American bigot? How about his unrepentent terrorist friends? "Obama vision and plans for the future are more important than what happened in a church he belongs to." But since he's not attached himself to anything more specific than "hope" and "change," isn't it wise to investigate just exactly what we're buying? "We, as a people, a nation, need to come together..." And you think electing a black supremist is the way to "come together?" |

Well, Sammy boy .... free speech, right? Try standing in public and spew anti-black rehetoric like Wright did about the Jewish people, white Americans and the United States of America. Just make sure there are a lot of Police Officers surrounding you. What a fool !!! And, as to your comment about the Right twisting Wright's words, you idiot ..... listen to them right from his mouth. You need to get some brains. Obama is a liar, he heard and saw this racist for 20 years.

From Dreams of My Father :'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mothers race.' |

Right.. why didn't he say "I will stand with the people of the U.S.?" Why pick just the Muslims? Do we have to be black Muslims to gain his support? |
|
|
Obama seems nice but he is just another smooth talking liberal socialist politician. Nothing new here.
