Not only that, but Mariah Rys-Sikora is really pretty darn cute.
Top that off with being a communications major and she's the full package.
Rodeo, competition and athletics in general round out a person's fiber and prepares them for leadership. It's good these programs are supported by the community and thrive.
The Big Sky country has a lot to be proud of in all these athletes and academics.
Maybe there is hope for the future of our country after all.

It was a warning of disaster to come for rodeo girl Brooke Coats. A video that was shot just four weeks ago showed 16-year-old Coats in a brush with danger.

Before Coats even got out of the gate, she was thrown by the bull she was riding. She was nearly trampled by the bucking beast. Coats sprinted to get away from the bull while still wearing all of her saftey gear.

She didn't suffer any injuries, but her luck ran out on Friday at a different rodeo near Tampa, Florida. Coats died after being kicked in the chest by a bull that had just thrown her.

Coats's friends and fellow students at Riverview High School mourned her loss on Monday.

Controversy has long swirled over the perils faced by young rodeo riders. How young is too young to perform in rodeos?

INSIDE EDITION got a first-hand look at the dangers when we visited a rodeo in Colorado in 2003. Kids as young as five competed.

One 12-year-old girl was thrown from her horse and frantic relatives and had to be taken to the hospital on a stretcher. She later recovered.

Coats's death is a tragic reminder of the perils of bull riding.

link,oNCE AGAIN, MT, NOTHING BUT RURAL HICK DRUNKS. yes yes, off topic, JUMP BACK, JUST A SEC. HA HA HA !! AS THE MONTANA YUCKY MONTUCKY DRUNK QUEEN HAD ITS CROWN TARNISH RIGHT IN THE USA EYE !! HA HA HA !!

On January 3, the reigning Miss Montana was arrested for driving under the influence in Montana after police pulled her over around 2:30 am for not having her headlights on. Jennifer Hepner refused to submit to a breath or blood test, and her driver’s license was seized.

Hepner entered a plea of not guilty, claiming that the traffic stop was illegal and that the arresting officer did not follow correct procedures. At the time of the traffic stop, her requests to speak with an attorney were denied.

The Miss Montana organizers decided to allow Hepner, 23, to participate in the Miss America pageant. While her duties as Miss Montana were suspended in February, Hepner will retain the title and the tiara until a new Miss Montana is crowned in June.

SHARK stands against terrorism wherever it is to be found, no matter what cause it hides behind. This especially includes terrorism hiding behind the cause of animal protection.

"Kindness and compassion towards all living beings is a mark of a civilized society. Racism, economic deprival, dog fighting and cock fighting, bullfighting and rodeos are all cut from the same defective fabric: VIOLENCE. Dr. C.G. Haber, a veterinarian who spent 30 years as a federal meat inspector, saw many animals from rodeos sold to the slaughterhouses he inspected. He described seeing animals "with 6-8 ribs broken from the spine, and at times puncturing the lungs." Haber saw animals with "as much as 2-3 gallons of free blood accumulated under the detached skin." These injuries occur when animals are thrown in calf-roping events or jumped on by people on horseback during steer wrestling.

What You Can Do
If a rodeo comes to your town, protest to local authorities, write letters to sponsors, leaflet at the gate, or hold a demonstration. Contact PETA for posters and fliers.
Click here to check state and local laws to find out what types of activities involving animals are illegal in your area. For example, after a spectator videotaped a bull breaking his leg during a rodeo event, a Pittsburgh law prohibiting bucking straps, electric prods, and sharpened or fixed spurs effectively banned rodeos altogether, since most rodeos currently touring the country use bucking straps.
Another way to ban rodeos is to work to institute a state or local ban on calf roping, the event in which cruelty is most easily documented. Since many rodeo circuits require calf roping, eliminating it can result in the overall elimination of rodeo shows.

link, you got it, this states rodeo is a trashy little drunk boring show. Rodeo cowboys voluntarily risk injury by participating in events, but the animals they use have no such choice. Countless animals in rodeos have suffered broken ribs, backs, and legs; punctured lungs; deep internal organ bruising; hemorrhaging; ripped tendons; torn ligaments and muscles; snapped necks; and agonizing deaths.

The following are just a few examples of casualties that have occurred at rodeos:
A terrified, screaming young horse burst from the chutes at the Can-Am Rodeo, slammed into a fence, and broke her neck.
By the end of one of the annual, nine-day Calgary Stampedes in Alberta, Canada, six animals were dead, including one horse who died of an aneurism and another who suffered a broken leg and had to be euthanized. The following year, six more animals died at the same event. In 2005, fear caused a stampede as horses destined for the event were being herded across a bridge. Some jumped and others were pushed into the river, resulting in nine deaths.
During the National Western Stock Show, a horse crashed into a wall and broke his neck, and another horse broke his back after being forced to buck.
During Rodeo Houston, a bull with a broken neck was left to suffer for a full 15 minutes before he was euthanized following a steer-wrestling competition.

In rodeo events, such as calf roping, steer wrestling, bareback horse and bull riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, steer roping, and barrel racing, normally docile animals are physically provoked into displaying "wild" behavior in order to make the cowboys look brave.
Electric prods, spurs, and bucking straps are used to irritate and enrage animals used in rodeos. Before entering the ring, cows and horses are often prodded with an electrical "hotshot" so that the pain will rile them.
The flank (or "bucking") strap is tightly cinched around the animals' abdomens, causing them to buck vigorously in an attempt to escape the pain. The flank strap can cause open wounds and burns when the hair is rubbed off and the skin is chafed raw. Former animal control officers have found burrs and other irritants placed under the flank strap.

Rodeos are promoted as rough-and-tough exercises of human skill and courage in conquering the fierce, untamed beasts of the Wild West. But in reality, rodeos are nothing more than manipulative displays of human domination over animals, thinly disguised as entertainment. What began in the 1800s as a contest of skill among cowpunk coward frauds has become a show motivated by greed and big profits.

The Stunts
Standard rodeo events include calf roping, steer wrestling, bareback horse and bull riding, saddle bronc riding, steer roping, and barrel racing.(2) The animals used in rodeos are captive performers. Most are relatively tame but understandably distrustful of humans because of the harsh treatment that they have received. Many of these animals are not aggressive by nature; they are physically provoked into displaying “wild” behavior in order to make the cowboys look brave.

LINK, YOU GOT IT ,off topic, all over the small fry stringbean hick trash state, just slick in with vid runs on states illegal child booze feeds, low class second rate state of white trash cult frauds. MISSOULA, Mont.-- Missoula police say an 11-year-old boy turned up drunk on the courthouse lawn, from the Occupy Missoula encampment early Thursday morning. That's the group protesting corporate greed.
Police say one of the camp's occupants bought the youngster alcohol. Twenty-seven year old John Skinner was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
The police report said Skinner encountered the boy and a friend outside a downtown Missoula bar. Police say the friend asked Skinner to buy them alcohol.
They say Skinner invited the boy and his friend into his tent so he could "keep an eye on him." But they said Skinner didn't call 911 or emergency medical technicians.
Police said the boy had permission to be out late at night. But they found the boy unconscious and vomiting on the courthouse lawn.
Occupy organizers said Skinner arrived at the camp Wednesday and had been drinking. The group has a zero tolerance for drinking alcohol on site. "He assured us that he wasn't, that he had been drinking elsewhere," said camp facilitator Kathleen Kelly.
She said the group gave him a chance to sleep it off in a tent.
Kelly said Occupy Missoula is taking this development very seriously.
Skinner, appearing via video camera at municipal court said he is mentally ill. A woman in the audience held up a bag and said she had the man's medication.
Skinner pleaded not guilty to the charge. Bond was set at $2,000.
The 11-year-old boy appeared in court with his mother and pleaded guilty to underage drinking.
Acting municipal court judge Douglas Harkin said the boy looked young, but he was "astounded" to learn how young. The judge wants a report filed with the Department of Family Services. Harkin said, "this case needs to be investigated."
