If you don't agree with the Constitution of the US then what the f*ck are you doing here?

Interesting. When a liberal disagrees with something that our current government does (say, invading a sovereign nation without provocation and under false pretext or illegally wiretapping its own citizens), such person is called a traitor and told to "leave the country if you don't like it here". But you (and apparently others like you) disagree with the whole foundation of our country's rights and freedoms and you expect people to say, "oh yeah, you're right". Nope, no double standard there.

Speak for yourself. Who died and left you the voice of "most of us"?
Fair enough! It was wrong of me to assume that most people are not sick twisted bastards who want an excuse to see someone else suffer.

Personally, I have no problem removing an individual from society as a matter of social self defence. But to see them writhe and moan under the same torment and pain that they caused, that just does not seem to be moving the world in a direction I'd like to see it go.

I also have some reservations about the death penalty in general. Our system is definitely not perfect and we have not yet figure out how to reverse "death" as a sentance. We've been releasing people from death row lately because DNA evidence now available absolves them. So maybe capital punishment ought to be more like being "volunteered" for moon colonization. That would be a little more reversable.

Considering my sister was raped, tortured and murdered I could care less if the POS has any pain when he is finally executed.
It seems to me that you have a NEED to see this individual suffer .... doesn't that make you like him??

For most of us, the purpose of the death penalty is to remove the individual from society as a matter of necessary self defence, not retribution.
If you need this kind of violent and cruel retribution, perhaps you should reflect upon the similarity between these sick individuals and yourself.
People like you are the reasons we have multiple murderers and rapists.

My 13 yo argues like that. I don't know why, but I was expecting a higher degree of sophistication. Obviously, I was mistaken! My bad!

When I said they (or I) "don't agree with the entire body" I meant they (or I) don't agree with every single word. The Constitution is a thing of beauty, a near flawless body of work. Still, it could use a tweak here and adjustment there, on occasion. I'll try and be clearer next time.

They were pretty much taken from your words of wisdom. Maybe I'm responding to a 13 year old?

That's what my 13yo does. I think it is because he is not capable of forming a thought of his own. And I am beginning to have my doubts about you in this area.

Typical bleeding heart liberal. Can't stand the facts so you have to resort to insults. How childish. Grow up.

What should be done is have murderers and rapists board at your house so people like you who want to save them should bear the burden.
