Here is a link to sign a petition to the White House in support of Mississippi peacefully seceding from the United States http://wh.gov/9NPu
This petition of course will not cause Mississippi to achieve independence, but we need to do something to get the ball rolling.

Mississippi spends $2.73 of federal tax money for every $1.00 it pays in. We are dead last in per capita income, first in infant mortality rate, first in obesity, first in heart disease, 2nd in diabetes, and more Mississippians believe in demonic possession than climate change.

I'm sure the other 49 states will gladly sign this petition too. Well except Alabama, they need someone to look down upon.

See that's the problem. People want to measure happinesand freedom by looking at dollar signs. Patrick Henry did not say "Give me a $401k and free health care." I'll take the MS way anytime, and believe if the us government left us alone we could thrive rather than being a welfare state.

if you are going to talk badly about my state, how about being a man and do so while not hiding your location?

Brandon Ms. is my location. It doesn't do any of us any good to pretend our states shortcomings don't exist.

Yeah and with a secession all these liberals can deal with those people because we're tired of paying for all these lazy people. Come down here and see how they act, I bet you'd be ready to go too.

Okay...first how is this supposed to help anyone? Are you really willing to secede just because Obama won the presidential election? Mitt Romney lied his way through the presidential debate. On one account he was actually called out on it by the mediator. Would you really want him to be the leader of this country? Would you want America to be known as a country full of liars? And would you really want someone who sees rape as a divine providence other than the crime of violence that it really is? I can personally tell you that as a victim of rape it scares me that someone can even consider the possibility of him being right. Planned parenthood protects young women such as myself from the consequences of someone else's actions. Could you really have a child coming into this world knowing that its father sexually assaulted their mother at the time of their conception. I know I couldn't do it. Could you? Second...are you willing to throw away all the progress that we have achieved just because our president will have another 4 years in office. Honestly if you think this is bad. I am only glad that you did not get your wish for Romney to win. He would make the Conservative state of Mississippi look liberal. I personally would rather have four more years of Obama than to suffer through a possible eight years under a liar. Liars have no honor and to make it worse his refusal to own up to his lies means he has no courage. I refuse to believe that we would want to follow a dishonorable coward because the Mississippi I know has more pride and respectability than that.

If Mississippi is so bad why don't just leave? Evidently you don't belong here.

all politicians have lied on occassion, some more than others. obama and romney have both flip flopped on issues, depending on the political winds of the time; however, romney would better uphold the consitution rather than rewrite it. He most certainly would not have allowed the death of two navy seals who valiantly saved the lives of many while giving theirs in return. Obama should be ashamed of himself for denying these seals request for assistance during a 6 hour gun fight, and then lying about it for weeks afterward. If he was so ignorant than to have known the facts of the situation (which were available within and hour of the inception of the incident) then he should willingly resign for reason of ignorance.

The whole point of seceding and becoming the "conservative states of america" is to put back into our government the morals and principles we have lost due to the liberal take over of our country. Some of the standards to live in the new "CSA" would be limited entitlements. You would have to work to live here. It's a really sad day in this country when those who pay no taxes and do nothing more than take get to decide how much of my money they get to take to support themselves. Whats even worse is obviously there are more people like them then ever before. The only way we are going to stop this "give me mine" mentality is to get people back to work.If you are going to take money from others then work for it.

THE ELECTION IS OVER AND WE CAN DEBATE ALL WE WANT OVER WHO LIED..MY CONCERN IS MISSISSIPPI HAS ALWAYS BEEN ONE OF THE POOREST STATES LONG BEFORE OBAMA TOOK OFFICE. TO SEE SO MANY PEOPLE ALL OF A SUDDEN WANT TO SEPERATE AND FORM THEIR OWN GOVERNMENT IS CRAZY. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BEING OVER WEIGH T OR ANYTHING ELSE. THIS ALL ABOUT RACE. MISSISSIPPI HAS ALWAYS BEEN RACIST AND WILL NEVER CHANGE. THE RICH HERE HAS STOLE ALL OF THEIR LIFE. ESPECIALLY HALEY BARBOUR....I BELIEVE HE WAS AND STILL IS INVOVLE IN MY FAMILY LAND IN YAZOO COUNTY WITH THE OIL WELLS. HIM AND ALL THE OTHER BURACRATES WHO GOT AWAY WITH IT.YEAH SOME OF YOU THAT IS READING THIS MAY HAVE YOUR GREEDY HAND STUCK IN SOMETHING THAT NEVER BELONGED TO YOU . NOW YOU WANT TO GO CRYING WHEN A BLACK WINS PRESIDENCY FOR A SECOND TIME. APPARENTLY HE IS DOING GREAT TO MORE THAT HALF OF THIS COUNTRY. I REFUSE TO ALLOW TOTAL STRANGER DICTATE MY FUTURE IN ANY FORM...WE WILL FIGHT TOOTH AND NAILS. NOW I WILL FIND OUT WHAT PETITION TO FILE AGAINST THIS STUPID PETITION YALL GOT GOING.

EVERYBODY WANT TO CALL MISSISSIPPI A WELFARE STATE. WHERE DID YALL GET THAT FROM..IS IT SOMETHING YOU ALL MADE UP TO DEGRADE BLACKS BECAUSE I KNOW THAT'S WHO YOU BELIEVE IS GETTING WELFARE. FIRST OF ALL IF SOME OF THESE POLITIANS CAN GET OFF THEIR BUTT AND VISIST THE POOREST COUNTIES IN MISSISSPI. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE JOBS NOT BEING THERE. THE TOWN I AM FROM I WATCHED FOUR LARGE COMPANIES PACK UP AND MOVE TO MEXICO ALL IN 2 YEARS. AND NO ONE CAME TO SAVE US WITH JOBS. STILL THERE ARE NO JOBS THERE. AND YOU ALL WANT TO TALK ABOUT THINGS BEING BAD BECAUSE OF PRESIEDNT OBAMA. THINGS WAS BAD LONG BEFORE HE EVER TOOK OFFICE. JUST GOT TO THROW THE BLAME ON THE BLACK. I RAISED 3 CHILDREN, PUT TWO THROUGH COLLEGE AND ONE IS STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL AND I HAVE NEVER GOT A DIME OF WELFARE. WELFARE EXISTED LONG BEFORE OBAMA. SOME OF YOU MAY HAVE BEEN RAISED OFF OF WELFARE JUST DON'T WANT YOUR FRIENDS TO FIND OUT. THIS STATE HAS BEEN POOR LONG BEFOR SOME OF US WAS BORN. THIS STATE HAS BEN BEHIND IN EDUCATION LONG BEFORE OBAMA. THIS PLACE HAS BEEN RACIST LONG BEFORE OBAMA.THESE STATE HAS HAD CROOKS LONG BEFORE OBAMA. SO BASICALLY EVERYTHINH YOU ARE TRYING TO GET AWAY FROM IS STILL HERE. BUT I REFUSE TO ALLOW A STATE FULL OF RACIST PEOPLE DICTATE MY LIFE OR MY CHILDREN LIFE.

"Successions?" Good Lord, I think this explains a lot about how we got to this point in our history. Mr. Desoto, allow me only to say that if our once great United States continues down this road toward socialism, I can only pray for the success of SECESSION.
Please look up the words secession and succession. I think you will be surprised to discover the existence of the first word, as well as finding out that the second word doesn't mean what you thought it did.
