Do the crime, pay for the time, as in $90 a day

A one-night stay? Ninety dollars. Need to see a doctor? Ten bucks. Want toilet paper? Pay for it yourself.

the only people that can pay for the prisoners expenses is the family. That's who it hurts. Does the inmate with no family or friends who has no money do without? Americans have become cruel and inhumane! Why don't you all just take all prisoners out and shoot them! This would be more humane!

i agree. instead of giving out LIFE sentences, at a cost of nearly $50,000 per inmate,per year, we should just spend the 38 cents for a bullet and just put them out of OUR misery. this will save millions of dollars per year. good idea. lol.

There is no need to waste good ammunition @.38 $, use the cheap stuff, reloads for about .15 $, just get up good and close to shootem.

are you people crazy? we need to seriously look at the legal system (as there's no justice involoved). it's only since prisons went 'private' that costs went up. private industries making a profit off crime? over 1/2 the prison population are NON-violent offenders, why are they prison? the US has some like 40% of the WORLD prison population! maybe locking them up and throwing away the key should be reconsidered!?!?!?

If we would stop putting people in prision for there first drug arrest and try to help the people with a drug problem we would be better off. We are putting people with drug addiction in longer than a killer and crimes against kids.

We need to fix the problem and killing a person with a cheap bullet is not the answer. We need to change the laws on drug addiction and get the help these people need. Putting someone in for years and not treating the problem doesn't solve the problem. They get out of prision and used drugs again and go back in again for same problem.

We need to fix the problem and get the right information out there.

Know one seems to care and I didn't before, until it happened to my family. I believe in the justice system but it is broken and it needs to be fixed. People who don't get the right help will never learn so we either build more prisons or
fix the drug problem in the great USA.
