Why is Missouri so friendly to the 'pill mill' business?

Jul 31, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Missourian

Last spring, an episode of the TV series "Justified" portrayed a Dixie mafia boss setting up a "pill mill" in a mobile home and getting a corrupt doctor to write phony prescriptions for the painkiller oxycontin so that the thugs could sell the pills to drug users.

I don't sell to anyone random.

I believe that adults should be able to self medicate in any way they choose. The next time you don't have money for a doctor but know exactly what you need, look me up.

I don't suggest anything to anyone. I personally dispise those who endorse hatred through religion more than anything.

In many cases these so called 'pill mills' are actually compassionate doctors who have drawn the attention of dea thugs for prescribing 'too many' pain medications. dea thugs have no medical training and should not be involved in the doctor patient relationship. This whole pain pill 'epidemic' in one big hoax by rogue government agencies to justify their bloated paychecks!

the truth is the DEA was losing the war against illegal drugs so badly the only way to justify getting any paycheck was to start a war they can win. They created a propaganda campaign blaming oxy for every od and violent crime they could find then went after docs walking into the office demanding records then using those records to bust them also the few patients selling part of their scripts to pay for meds, that got busted were used to set docs up in exchange for getout of jail free cards. Meanwhile as the war on docs fuels, More first time drug users are turning to Heroine, the dea has pulled boarder patrol to go after doctors and also meth lab cleanup has been turned over to the states. The pain management doctors are represented on medical boards by interventional pain management doctors who want to shoot outrageous worthless drugs in your spine and will not prescribe pain meds unless you agree to the $1500 + shots that the biggest insurane company in the country refuses to pay for. Despite Supreme Court overturning actions of medical boards against doctors as illegal denying due process, the doc will win one battle but if they go back in buisness they lose the war. My doc had medical board license actions overturned 2 times then the 3rd, the circuit judge refused to make a decision and held the case for over a year until she was broke, and couldn't afford to fight. Meanwhile 5 people died that were known. 3 left sucide notes stating they could not handle the pain any more. 3 others od on street drugs. I went on disability losing a high paying job as did others.
Also many patients seeing pain doctors are disbable on medicare or medicaid, the state supports the actions as pain doctors are shut down, people have no doctor, no scripts for expensive meds or monthly doctor bills, hell most can't even leave the house with pain and depression so medicaid is seeing drop in cost. So my suggestion to anyone fed up with war on doctors, suffering in pain and on state supported program, is hit them in the pocket. See a new doctor every week and get some high priced garbage script that you throw away or whatever you want to do with it. If the state is paying for it, go to the most expensive doctor you can find and let them try the most expensive meds they will prescribe and change meds or get refills whatever it takes because the only way to stop this war is MONEY. If our civil rights will not be protected, ADA rights of pain sufferers stomped in the ground, denied life liberty and pursuit of happiness, while innocent good doctors just upholding the oath they took are turned into criminals and unjustly prosecuted without due process, and your state is supporting this insane DEA created Job Security, the only way to stop the WAR is Make it cost twice as much as pain managment. Its either that or all those who are tired of living in pain and ready to die need to organize a mass suicide on the White house lawn. Instead of just using your last Oxys to OD at home and further fuel the war on Drugs, everyone ready to give up needs to set a date and show up in washington for a sick of suffering Jonestown.. We all need to wear t-shirts that say, "I am sick of living in Hell on Earth created by the DEA WAR ON Pain Suffers, The dea took my right to life liberty and pursuit of happiness and I demand the DEA be prosecuted for my murder." Maybe a thousand bodies littering the whitehouse lawn with bright yellow shirts demanding the DEA be held accountable would get someone to listen and stop this absurd attack on human rights. Nothing else seems to be working and at least they would not be able to cover it up or blame drugs for your death further supporting the insanity. As every person using that ODs with a empty pain pill bottle anywhere in their home is used in stats of pain med related death even if you blow your brains out and don't have a pill in your system.

I live in a town where there is a problem with people selling their meds. It irritates the hell out of me, because as a bone cancer patient, and friends with many ms patients, it's these assholes selling to people who just want to get high, that makes it hard for the legitimate pain patient to get the meds they need.
The only illegal "drug" I am ok with is marijauna. It's safe and effective, and when people cannot get the medications they need, they have to do something or like noone says, they become suicidal. But then, maybe that's what the state wants, all the sick people dead.
I know of a dialysis patient that was just told that her dialysis will no longer be covered by her medicaid because they are no longer considering it medically necessary. This woman will be dead within five days without dialysis. How can that not be medically necessary? What we have is a government system that is hoping and trying to kill the "useless people" that have chronic or deadly illnesses, so they won't have to pay anything for them. We have a Nazi system going on, and killing people quietly, so maybe it will go unnoticed. They just don't want to be as obvious as the German Nazi's were. But it's no different than the crematoriums and gas chambers. I am so angry that I'm ready to go to Jefferson City and have it out with someone. I'd like to knock the head in on the bastard that came up with dialysis not being medically necessary.
