That's crazy how you can get an enormous charge for something like that but they have drug dealers and murderers out there being released everyday with no charge.

Have you ever stopped to think that maybe they were wrongfully charged. I know someone who was put in a situation like that. Totally innocent! I'm sure that not 100% of the people being accused were guilty. Yes, looking at that stuff is totally wrong. I AGREE. But in case you don't know, when you download things onto your computer other things sometimes unknowingly are downloaded too. They are then stuck with something on their hard drive that they never looked at and find themselves with a criminal charge. Not everyone who this happens to is a "co-mo".

I cannot believe this. I am in shock for one of the guys. He is the nicest guy and I would never think he would be like that. My heart hurts for him. I think he may have been set up or something, but if it is true then he should be held accountable for his actions. This is a guy that loves his daughter so much which is why this is so hard.

Yes, it is unfortunate that this has happened to an INNOCENT person who was the victim of a limewire download!! He is proof that Missouri's crime rate must be so impecably low that the police have to "set-up" innocent guys also.

Concerned...do you actually believe that these guys had no clue, whatsoever, what they were doing? I download many things from the web all the time and not once have I had the problem you are trying to defend. What you should be asking is, what are they downloading or connected to that particular download? All of us are guilty of "checking out" those special sites, even for one second, innocently, no harm no foul. But then you have those sick souls that prey on our children, our defenseless, innocent children. They will be scared for life and that's what pisses me off.

The very one that is inncent will be the one that actually does it. I am not saying your friend did anything wrong, but the FBI monitors and investgates for a while before charges are filed.

EAC... The FBI does not monitor very long before filing charges. I know for a fact. I understand how serious this matter is. I,too, am a parent. If no one was physically involved, how can they point the finger to someone . If anyone should be charged , it should be limewire. They are allowing this site to hold and distribute this crap. That's possession and distribution on so many levels. Maybe MO isn't ready for something that big, yet.

Try living next door to one of those guys, especially when you have 8 grandkids and he's very friendly.
