I've had many pits, never had any problems with them. They were all dropped off at my house, so I took them, they were also full grown.
They were always some of the best dogs I ever had, however when I was younger I was bit by a poodle once, and a Sheepdog.
But any dog is capable of biting, and it depends on how they were raised.

The elderly parents of a friend had a chicken coop in their backyard several years ago. 2 pitbulls running loose tore down the chicken wire to get inside the coop and then they killed the chickens.
I'd be glad if Sikeston banned pit bulls altogether but instead the city tries to work with the loser owners of those worthless mutts.
Follow the law or lose your mutt. Simple.
ok u get rid of what ever mutt u may have at ur house too u looser

Don't you all get it? These cities don't give twoshits about pitbulls. It's the owners that are the real targets.
Too many druggies, dealers and poor undesirables own them.
The owners are the the ones they really want gone. Landlords, neighbors, insurance agents put pressure on cops and then city council to make pitbull bans . It encourages them to leave.
The non-scum owners are just collateral damage...
excuse me but im pretty well of we all have jobs in our home that has nothing to do w drugs.this is just the type of dog we have always had,so dont put all pitt owners in one gtoup, makes u look stupid

Maybe you people should stop believing everything you see on fox news...there was never any "round up", and there won't either. Typical...suppose you are ready for the 12/21/12 end of the world too.

Can we do something to ban child molesters!? I'd much rather live next door or down the street from a pit bull than a convicted sex offender! What is wrong with this picture?!
