I wanted this blog to me more information shared between the races. You might learn something that you did not know. If you have hard feelings toward any particular race.Express them. This is the only way that we are going to crush racism.

Black and White can't get alone because Blue and Green looked at their credit history and turned them down.

Because they say aks and dest, and baby daddy, and wear their pants with their azs hanging out, and play loud music in their car even when they are not in it. They don't have respect for people around them, they speak loud, hang out in public places making loud noises and yelling. They think that sports and rap music are careers. They think someone else is to blame for their lot in life. It isn't all black people, and some white people fit this description to a tee. it is the majority that sets the stereo type though. and that is why we will never get along. it's not skin color it is a culture that we hate. Oh ya this doesn't even address the gang violence stuff.

First if alot of the blacks would stop the stupid drama and wanting to fight.

I agree with Brian the way alot of them present themselves is so terrible such as hanging their pants to thier knees, saing my baby daddy. What ever happened to getting married? And the violence and gangs alot of them are involved in. Yes I know somew whites are involed in these too but it is mostly blacks. They need to pull up thier pants, stop the fighting & stop making excuses why they get into trouble and why they don't have a job.

Brian & Concerned Citizen-
thank you for your feedback. I am black and married someone white. We grew up together, when old north STL was mosly jews and white. At that time, my grandmother was the only black in the neighborhood. She could have passed for white easily. All the childern played together and ate at each other houses. I attended an catholic school and their was a handful of blacks. I did not experience discrimnation until I was grown. Today, most of my friends are of every nationality except for african-americans. I guess I wanted to know what can I/We do to combat this craziness?

The craziness will stop when City officials and local government take a stand against it. The police arrest these people then in a wink of an eye they are back on the streets to commit more crimes. Our jails are full, our prisons are full People on death role wait 20 to 30 years to be executed. Why wait?? This would solve a lot of overcrowding in our system. People in St. Louis have had it with this stuff.

I am really confused about alot of the comments people post about a race that they are not. Why do people always find negative things to say about someone else when they need to correct the negative in their own lives. I am a black woman and I do feel that some young minded people are out of control and don't have respect for others but like I just stated SOME, not all. It's really sad to read this stuff and just think how far we haven't come to ending racism. White and Black people can get along, but if we just uplift each other instead of tearing each other down all the time then something positive can happen between the two races. You should never judge a book by its cover.

You have to look at it from both sides. A lot of it is the way parents raise their kids. We can not depend on the govenment to educate our childern, nor displine them. That is the parent job. I find that the two races can get along when their is a positive enviroment. Who wants to hear the noise (rap music) or provide for the teen mothers. If parents were responsible enough; we would not have the problems that we have now.

you guys are trashing young people who only need more guidance. So why don't black people and white people get along? It's because they refuse to see each other for what they are. Just people. And I fail to see why every black person in america has to fall under the same image. I don't have any kids that listen to rap music, have their pants hanging below the crack of their butts, or is even remotely interested in joining a gang. I raise my kids to be good citizens. I wouldn't think that any other black person who cares about their kids would do any different. I have a baby daddy alright, he's my husband. He's been my husband for 20 years. You have to stop a few rotten apples as the loss of a whole orchard. Black people are beautiful. Their culture is beautiful. Their skin is beautiful.

The young and very uneducated people who make up the bad part of my race need to be able to see their potential to do better. If you would let them know that and demonstrate how much you actually care about it. Things would change. Think outside of the box. Extend love and understanding, not hate and ignorance. It will get you further than an assumption of parental negligence.

Look it is MORE than a few bad apples, and I did say it is NOT isolated to black people, but the crap going on DID start in the black communities, and is far more prevalent there still. As I said before it isn't the skin it's the culture, I'm not talking about southern Baptist church culture, I'm talking about the culture of your young, and sometimes not so young I mentioned above. It's not my job to make them feel valued, or for me to make any other kid, it is my job to do that for MY kids, and that is the job of their parents, and your community.

I couldn't agree with you the more. Every parent is responsible for their kids. It is the parents jobs to see that kids are educated and well behave. True the problems seems to be really bad in the black neighborhood. There are a few black families that are doing their job.

Not aying there aren't any exceptions. Stop buying into "the white man lie". The way people use this excuse, they are going to make the white man "the boogie man". Stop the lame duck excuses of why we can't do no better. Have you heard of this saying, one rotten apple can ruin the whole barrel. All it really take is one incident by one race and the whole race is hated; the good and the bad.

I think that a lot of people feed it on both sides. I have seen both races turn on the other (along with many other races) just because of their pigmentation, and the innocent always get hurt. No one owes another person anything and people that don’t like the other race do not need to raise their children to hate. Regardless of your personal feeling towards another race, let your child be better then you and not see things the way you do. Also on a legal note, they need to stop with the whole “hate crime” subject unless they are going to count it for all races not just one. If all men are created equal, then treat them all equal in the court system as well. A murder is a murder, a rapist is a rapist, and so on, their pigmentation should not change the verdict and I have seen how that can change the outcome so many times.

Oh no. It isn't your job to make my kids feel valued. It's not your job to tell them that their culture is crap either. I am not a southern baptist and my culture is not the same as what you see kids do. Question: did you listen to rock music when you were a kid? Dress in bell bottoms? wear long hair? Did you smoke a little reefer too? I don't think that's your culture. i think that's a sign of the times. I think culture means that you were taught something that is from your ancestors. My parents work hard and yes I think they did a damn good job raising me. I am a college graduate and i have a daughter who is studying to be a doctor. My young know what I expect from them and they also know what they face from society, from you and your kids. I never told them that a person would stereo type them because of their color but maybe I should've. Your response is more hostile than any police man's response. I can't believe you think that your responsibility only lies with your kids. i would tell your kids that they could be anything that they want to be in life and it only takes a little hard work. I would tell them that they are precious and talented and smart. You would tell my child that he is worthless because of what you percieve to be a 'hood rat' fad that you think all black kids adopt. Shame on you. I hope your kids never share your sentiment. And I hope that mine never do either.

I also don't think that crime is a one race thing. it's a shame that people actually think that the origin of a lot crime is with black people. How in the world is crime a black thing when it happens everywhere? It's not just a black kid who sells drugs. it's the drug czar in columbia who grows it. Then ships it to america. Then the person who gets it to the streets. I can't find any marijuana fields in new york. No poppy fields in cleveland. How many black people own a boat or a plane to get this stuff here?
The question is why can't black and white people get along. I see people complaining about some kids who do need help. I think the ability to see bad in people is a reflex that all people have. My race is better than your race... kind of thing. If you took a walk in a black person's shoes, you'd be astounded as to what it would really be like. And then you would learn to understand why things happen to certain people. So get your heads out of your asses and start treating people the way you want to be treated. Because even if you don't understand them, you gotta learn to get along with them. White people are fast becoming the minority and black comes in all shades, origins and backgrounds.:)

It's not all Black and White people that can't get along.
I learned that lesson long ago.
Separate the fools from the one that want to act normal.

Too many kids raising kids.
No one wants to accept responsibility for anything.

It's the cities fault, it's the schools fault, it's the government's fault.
WRONG.

Learn how to raise your kids, don't act like a fool.
Pull your freakin pants up, ya look like an idiot.
Stop walking around with your hands on your privates, if it itches - see a doctor.

Don't expect the local or federal govt to provide for things you can do for free.

If you disagree with someone, don't reach for a gun.
It's permanent, then we have to hear a whiny tale about what a good boy or girl you really were.

Stop crying Racist every time you turn around.
It's like the boy who cried wolf, no one is listening anymore.

Getting along with most people ain't that hard.
A little effort and no trouble making.
