I feel that all sex offenders are human. and just because they made a mistake early in thier life they should be given a chance to show that they can reform , yes we have some that really can't help thier self because they feel unloved some are so anger the world yes , but they can fine them selfs if given a chance.

Apparently you're not a victim of sexual abuse. I think all sex abusers need to be put away for life and they need to suffer everyday just like there victims do. Why should they get a fresh start in life? Victims have to live with it and and they don't get a fresh start. It's hard to trust anyone and it makes you grow up fast. I don't remember ever being a child.

I normally dont get into these types of conversations, but Meg, u appear to be a bit jaded. How can someone make the mistake of molesting a 5 year old child for 8 years? You think he thought she was me? I seriously doubt mistakes were made, except that he DID IT. That's how long my husband molested my daughter and he's in jail now. So mistake, I doubt it. Sick, more than likely. Angry at the world? Why take it out on a child? Like the last person said, "You must not have ever been a victim of abuse".

Im sorry to hear your side of story, but me I was moslested by a priest when I was young and my fiance was charged 13 years ago for child endencancy, but did you know not all child molesters are guilty some are innocent and pay a great price. Lots of cases step fathers get accused due to and arguement and they still go to jail for something else that was falsely said , why cause children can do it. So yes they are human but the law wont let them live. Its wrong for some cases. Yes some should be punished longer if it only happen once and never did that person re do it why should he still be punished. Murderer get off the hook after so many years. They can lead a normal life too.

Have you ever read the laws and penalties on sex offenders. You need to register for life for pissing outside. So why should all sex offenders be punished on different penal code , but still be locked away for life.

I have abeautiful 11 year old little girl that was molested by her best friends grandfather, that was bad enough and then we found out he had been convivted of it before in 1981 and served time. Sorry but most offenders will do it again. Just because the law was screwed up and he didnt have to register because it was before 1997 6 more innocent little girls paid the price. Lock the sick bastards up and throw away the key, better yet let the parents have 5 minutes alone with them it will save the tax payers money.

I just pray it dont happen to you , to be accused of false accusations. Maybe then your MFERS would actually be told to a lawyer or judge, or even the one who accuse you.

If my husband got a hold of the man he wouldn't be around to take up the space in a jail or the courts time. A pine box is still to good for these monsters

There is no doubt people are falsely accused and also prosecuted. I truly feel for those individuals.
To the guilty S-O-B pervert that harms a child. This person should be required to post a sign (Beware Resident of Child Molester).Should also be required to wear electronic monitoring when away from home.Never be released from parole and attend class's on a regular basis for life.
Any sane person would agree........anyone that harms a child is the lowest of the low.

there are always 2 sides to a story my friends .......... I was molested at the tender age of 7 till 14 horrible ..and he never paid for it ...didnt talk about things like that then ...but now my son has just been found giulty of stat rape of a girl who was soon to turn of "age " ..mistake was he had true feeling for her but now he will spend time in prison .....never be able to go to PTA meeting for his kids schools or plays at school ..never be able to take them to a park ..or never be able to attend a sports game and he is very much invloved in sports ..even was at a proffesssional level and he has lost his whole life over injustice ...you have to know the circumstances before you judge ... a true rapist .yes they deserve to be punishes but not all and not as severe as some .. my son got max 7 yrs for 4 counts ...and all he did was care for her ..........oh and by the way she did him too but the parents were a nightmare and knew people and had power in proscuters office the money we had to put out and got no defense for was sinful!!!! you have to ask yourself where is the justice in this one ???? My son is a very loving ..caring big hearted sports nut who loves people and life ......or should I say always did till now .now he is broke and ruined

I'm sorry to hear what your son is going through . And as for you, you will also suffer a great pain through this. Right now you need to be strong and stand by your sons side, he will need you more then ever, never give up , take his hand and don't let go, and when he comes out of jail, I'm sorry to tell you this, it will get harder, people around will judge by what he was convicted with and not what really happen. No matter what or how hard it gets , don't stop loving him , your his only strenght. But for now we can only pray the law will change when it comes to who should really be convicted. Hang in there and god bless your family.

The law sucks. I saw a story on tv a few years ago about a couple who were 18 and 15. They had been together since they were 15 and 12. Unfortunately the girl got pregnant at 15 and when the school found out the father was 18 they reported him. He got a year in jail and he can't see the girl or his CHILD. He wants to marry the mother. He can't. The girls parents even made a plea to the court not to send him to jail as they had been together so long. ITs sad. He'll have to register as a sex offender the rest of his life. ITs not right. I was molested as a child but i don't want the innocent ones to have to pay because of the a@@holes.

For me, its about forgiveness. And when you can reach that stage you're at peace. It feels wonderful. The laws for sex offenders go TOO FAR...

So if a man or woman piss outside and gets caught you would shoot them on sight. I'm sorry , but before you condemn a "sex offender" you should actually look up the meaning and all the 100 different offences and categories, a sex offender doesn't mean rape only. Do you know how many teachers out there charged with this offence and all thy did was put a hand on shoulder to say very good home work keep it up. Or how many step daddy or mommy with this charge cause step kid did not like them . I am a so called "sex offenders" wife and I'm proud to say I'm his wife, and now people call me a sex offender, but guess what who cares. What others say will only hurt them in future, not us.

Ive read all your comments and some I agree and some I dont ..........yes I was a true victim of rape and no my son is not a rapist and I dont feel he should have to pay such a high price with his life just because they want to make an example of him as a sex offender he's not and shouldnt be treated as one or put with others who truly are ,just found out 2 guys tried to attack him .now whos the victim ??? he doesnt belong there where are his rights and defenders ??
still a broken hearted Mom
