If 20 Republican lawmakers in Missouri have their way, it will soon be illegal for administrators, teachers and even students to talk about homosexuality in public schools.

Good for those twenty Republican lawmakers!
Someone has to put a stop to this lunacy. There
are more important things to discuss in school
than homosexuality...like grammar, spelling, and
how to add, and so on and so on and so on. Don't back down, Republican lawmakers! If Christ's name can be kept out of schools, then most certainly
homosexuality can be also.

making it illegal to talk about something, how is that going to work exactly, esp. students, what are they to be arrested
part of a schools job is to equip ppl for the adult world, by pretending there is no homosexuality is not going to make it go away or help intergration with others which is a necessary part of life
another part of schooling is to assist adolescents through to adulthood, if they cant talk about it this is only going to increase their anxieties & hinder their personal adjustment

I take it then that you're in favor of allowing prayer in schools along with bible studies? The knife cuts both ways.

The truth is that the purpose of public schools is to educate students in the areas of core curriculum, like language, mathematics, science, history, etc. It is not for social engineering nor to push societal views, conservative or liberal.

If you want your child to have special instruction on homosexuality, then teach him yourself at home. Same thing is true for religion.
