Democratic super-PAC releases video archive of Akin's 'extreme statements'

Sep 27, 2012 | Posted by: Mr_Bill | Full story: thehill.com

The pro-Democratic super-PAC American Bridge released an archive of video footage Thursday, attacking Missouri Senate candidate Rep.

The first video in the series, titled "Best of Akin," is a more than minute-long mashup of Akin's controversial remarks, beginning with his most widely-panned comment on "legitimate rape."

Maybe someone should make a video describing the difference between "statuatory rape" and "legitimate rape".

At any rate, there is no such thing as bad publicity. Akin has now become a household name. More people know of or have heard of Akin today than they did before the fiasco.

Republicans would make a video of Bidens dumb remarks, but that would be everything he says. You guys would be truly ashamed.

Rape is rape.

These slime words are just male republicans trying to ban birth control and abortion for women.

The phrase Akin was searching for was "forcible rape", yet he uttered "legitimate rape" instead.

Now, if someone has to explain to you the difference between forcible rape and consensual sex with an underage partner, aka statutory rape, then you're about as dumb as they come.

So he meant to say that women's bodies can ward off pregnancy from "forcible rape" instead of "legitimate rape"?
Still sounds like magic to me. He's got no place in an elected position. Ever.

Yep. He has since stated his belief was in error.

I hardly think an erroneous view (now corrected) regarding the probability of women becoming pregnant during rape is a disqualifier for holding public office. The truth is that was the scientifically accepted view as little as 20 years ago.

When we compare McCaskill's voting record in the Senate to Akin's in the House, there is simply no comparison. McCaskill votes for the extreme left causes that are destorying our nation. Akin votes for the conservative views and values that our nation was founded upon.

It's a very easy choice for anyone who isn't a retarded liberal idiot.

Where was the scientific evidence on rape accepted accepted 20 years ago anyway? Does this also mean what Akins knows is only 20 years out of date also.

There are scores of other references.

As I stated in an earlier post, one error made my Akin is nothing compared to the disastrous votes of McCaskill during her term as Senator. We simply cannot afford to leave the far left wacko liberals in charge any longer.

Akins entire frame of reference; his entire mind, is "...in error..."

Akins still believes that women are not fit to decide if they want birth control; or need an abortion.

Akins believes that he, Paul Ryan, and a cabal of Lying neo-conservative men, and tea-bagger men know what is best for all of America's women, based on Akins' misinterpretation of the Bible.

It is not about a word spoken in error. Akins cannot apologize for his continuing misanthropy.

The GOP is over. The platform is entirely too extreme and they have forced all of the sane people out. The GOP has gone so far right they think the middle is the far left. The GOP is the wealthy 1% and poor uneducated bigoted angry whites. Calling the president a Muslim, socialist, marxist, Kenyan, food stamps president etc. etc. isn't winning. Foaming at the mouth while repeating Fox News talking points isn't working. Where are the ideas?

In that case, both you and Akins are liars.
Murder is murder, and abortion is abortion.

If you think it is murder, trace your pictuure, and report the murderer to hte police, right noe.(I'll wait right here while you dial 911 to report an 'unborn child murder.')

Well, what did they say?.........

Did they dispatch a radio car to take your report?.........

You, and Alins, must rememer that in a pluralistic society, people with different moral beliefs, theologies, and frames of refernce have an equal right to their beliefs, as do you.

As you believe the sin of abortion is similar to the mortal sin of murder, it would be terrible and wrong for you to have one. Never do.

So, in the USA, you can believe whatever you want, about abortion, going to church, using the Lord's name in vain, or lying to your parents. But do not expect to project your beliefs about keeping the sabboth, or fasting on Fridays, to the general public, as a law.
Others do not belong to your church. People just like you ruled a part of America many years ago, the Puritans, in Massachucetts Colony. They were such a pain in the ass they were forced out of England to Holland (no, they didn't choose to leave,) and left Holland because they saw their children 'falling away' to the looser Dutch ways.

They formed a religious government (a theocracy, just like you want) and they proceeded to throw poor Ann Hutchenson out, to the Indians or wolves; and to burn and drown their own wives and daughters as witches.

No thank you, pilgram. I like freedom, nor GOP theo-babble, like 'abortionismurder.'

What is extreme about cutting taxes, cutting government spending, balancing the budget, and supporting a free market economy? Hell, that's what this country was built on, and that's what made us great.
The GOP has gone so far right they think the middle is the far left.
No, retarded liberal idiots like you have gone so far left that you think a centrist position is extreme right.
The GOP is the wealthy 1% and poor uneducated bigoted angry whites.
Wrong. The GOP includes people from all economic classes that understand the grave danger our country is in. They support abolishing the marxist policies of the far left wing that are destroying our country. They support individual freedom, limited government, and a free market economy. You know, those very prinicples upon which our nation was founded.
Calling the president a Muslim, socialist, marxist, Kenyan, food stamps president etc. etc. isn't winning.
The President himself acknoweldged that he holds the Muslim faith in an interview with George Stephanapoulis a few years back. Google it and see for yourself. He also wrote in his book that if things got tough, he'd support the Muslims. Even today, he is trying to send another half billion of taxpayer dollars to the head of the extremist Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

As far as Obama being a socialist and Marxist, that is nothing but pure fact. Obama has said on a number of occasions that he supports redistribution of wealth, a decidedly socialist ideal. He has also implemented several Marxist policies such as using government resources to bail out private businesses, and even purchasing an auto manufacturer. And don't forget the avowed Marxists he has surrounded himself with, including Van Jones, Valerie Jarret, Anita Dunn, and others.

Obama is also rightly called the food stamp President. Under his tenure and due to his failed economy policies, we now have a record number of people in this country on welfare, up 40% since he became President.
Foaming at the mouth while repeating Fox News talking points isn't working. Where are the ideas?
The only ones foaming at the mouth are people like Debbie Whatshername Schultz, Nazi Pelosi, and Horrible Harry Reid.

As far as the ideas go, take a look at the dozens of bills passed by the GOP controlled House the last two years that have been blocked by Harry Reid. Those bills address the crucial issues our nations is currently facing, like fixing the sagging economy, spurring job creation and economic growth, simplifying the tax code and making it more fair while removing the global competitive disadvantage that domestic businesses face, and putting us on a path to a balanced budget.

Retarded liberal idiots like you do nothing but ignore reality. People like you are what is wrong with America.

It's not "my" picture, but it does accurately reflect the result of an abortion. You didn't answer my question. Do you support doing that to another human being? Do you agree with me that anyone who does support such barbarism is sick in the head?
You, and Alins, must rememer that in a pluralistic society, people with different moral beliefs, theologies, and frames of refernce have an equal right to their beliefs, as do you.
And innocent little babies peacefully residing inside the sanctity of their mothers' wombs have the most important of all human rights, the right to life.
So, in the USA, you can believe whatever you want...
Yep, but when the exercise of my beliefs infringe upon the rights of others, then they are limited. Such is the case with abortion. While a woman may have the right to do what she wants with her body (though prostitution and drug use limit that to some extent) she is not free to destroy the body of another human being, which is what happens during an abortion.
They formed a religious government (a theocracy, just like you want)...
Since the founding of this country, we have never had a theocracy. Our form of government is a Republic, and one of the chief ends of the federal government is to guarantee every state in the union a republican form of government. Read Article 4 Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution.

There's a world of difference between an underage girl willingly engaging in sexual intercourse and a forcible rape. If you'd put down your bong and pick up a law book, you could find out for yourself. Dumbass.
