Perhaps state employee compensation should be tied to how much increase the legislators grant themselves annually....

In lieu of raising monetary and/or benefit packages for public employees in the state of Missouri, the lawmakers have declared that there will be a requirement that all Missourians will henceforth pay public employees more compliments followed by a "have a nice day".

This will hold payrolls down enabling the legislature to give itself more pay raises.
