Kindred lights are on our "to do" list.
Hopefully next spring or early summer will investigate the story. its an abandoned barn near Kindred ND supposedly people see lights in the barn on some nights.

I have never heard anything about Ghosts there though, just the story of the real murder that happened there.

There used to be a house in Superior, Wisconsin (just across the bridge) that was supposed to be haunted. They used to say the kids would play with the ghost outside in the yard. It was listed at one time in the top one hundred haunted homes. I always got the chills when we drove past it. I think they tore it down in the past ten yrs or so though.

Glensheen Mansion
On June 27, 1977, Elisabeth Congdon, the elderly owner of this thirty-nine-room mansion, was found dead in her bed. She had been smothered with her pillow. On the stairway lay the bludgeoned body of her nurse. Roger Caldwell, Elisabeth's so-in-law, was convicted of the murders in 1978. He had murdered her to speed collection of his wife's share of the inheritance. Caldwell later made a plea bargain and was released from jail in 1983, but five years later he committed suicide. Under the terms of the Congdon will, the mansion was turned over to the University of Minnesota in July 1977. Ever since, the ghosts of Elisabeth and her faithful nurse Velma Peitila are said to walk the halls of Glensheen.

I'm almost 13 and I'm looking for some interesting ghost hauntings in my area,(McLeod County, MN) so if anyone could give me a story or a good website that would be awesome thanx!

Have not found anything on the school, but found this from the Airforce project bluebook....

Hutchinson - Harrington House - On the north side of Park Elementary, there is a 1-story house, built around 1820, the first in our town of Hutchinson. The house was built by the Harringtons and was inhabited for 40 yrs by the Harringtons. One night, Litte Crow, a Crow Indian known around here as hero, spent the night with two of his friends, and both were shot in the house, one in the basement, and one on the top level. The ghosts of the two Indians haunt the house. Pictures fall, blood comes through the floor, and voices are heard.- November 2003 Update/ correction: Little Crow was a Sioux, not a Crow Indian. Little crow and his son were shot but a farmer while picking berries near Hutch. The son lived. Little Crow's body was dragged into town, abused by the locals who put firecrackers in his ears and dumped in the local landfill.

Winsted - Hannah's Grave - The story says that a woman named Hannah went crazy and killed her entire family. Afterward she felt so bad about it that she hung herself from a windmill. There were three windmills at her house and she hung herself from the middle one. Now whenever the wind is blowing the windmill in the middle blows the opposite way.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned East Bethel! There is a church there that was named one of the top haunted places in the US a few years back... Some priest murdered like 5 kids (not sure about that number, or when). All of the people that lived directly around it have since moved due to the wails and screams heard at night. You can also see the priest and other apparitions in the windows. Wierd thing is, is that they re-sided the old church and put this fence all around it (with no gates). I was there when I was in high school one time with my friends... Scared the hell out us.

I live in Duluth and the Glensheen Mansion is supposedly haunted by Elizabeth Congdon and her maid, who were murdered by, what is believed to be, her son in law. I don't think he was ever convicted, or her daughter who was the conspiritor (sp). Unfortunately, they don't have tours to Elizabeth's bedroom, where she was murdered. There are year long tours.
